Gyan Vihar School of Pharmacy, Jaipur is a constituent college of Suresh Gyan Vihar University, was established in the year 2003. s being a co-educational institution, it is situated in Mahal, Jagatpura and has been accorded approval by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Pharmacy courses available in the school include the Bachelor of Pharmacy, Master of Pharmacy, Diploma in Pharmacy, and Doctor of Philosophy. The institute has an enrolment of 28 faculty members which endeavour to deliver professional education in the field of pharmacy.

Gyan Vihar School of Pharmacy has a campus which provides all the facilities so as to ensure that students benefit allot in terms of their learning. The most remarkable facility is library which has fully automated, bar-coded and multimedia library. It has having a collection of Reference and Reading sections, thereby creating a good study atmosphere. Students can use the library for 11 hours in a day and throughout a week including on Sundays and avail the facility of book bank. Campus is equipped with Wi-Fi thus obtaining internet connection for the students at all times. The IT facilities comprises of appropriately stocked computer laboratories containing appropriate software for analysis and simulation, enabling practical learning.

Gyan Vihar School of Pharmacy offers four main courses: Under graduates course B.Pharma, post graduate course M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics, Diploma D.Pharm, and doctorate Ph.D. in Pharmacy. The specially recognised under graduate programme is B.Pharma, which has an authorised number of 100 admissions and the diploma programme D.Pharma, admission in 60 seats.

There are certain steps to get admission in Gyan Vihar School of Pharmacy and the institution follows criterion parameters. For B.Pharma the entrance test as on now is JEE Main/GPAT the institute permits students to take direct admission. The Gyan Vihar School of Pharmacy in Jaipur and is part of Suresh Gyan Vihar University. The school runs a variety of pharmacy courses and follows an integrated admission procedure aimed at selecting meritorious candidates. Usually, the admission cycle begins a few months before the academic year, which usually commences around August-September. For undergraduate programs for B.Pharma like JEE Main, the institute accepts national level entrance examinations. Thus, the candidate must qualify for the national level test before entering the program. For postgraduate admissions into M.Pharma programs, GPAT scores are considered. In addition, the university conducts its own entrance test SGVUEE (Suresh Gyan Vihar University Entrance Examination) for various other courses.

B.Pharma eligibility criteria stipulate that students should pass their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology. An applicant for M.Pharma has to possess a B.Pharma degree from a recognized university. These include timelines for application submissions, exam dates, announcements of results, and so on. However, such dates vary from program to program, and entrance exam to entrance exam. Application Process

1. For B.Pharma:

  • Clear either JEE Main or GPAT examination.
  • Obtain the application form from the Gyan Vihar School of Pharmacy website
  • Attach the necessary documentation that includes mark sheets from the 12th board. 
  • Proceed to a personal interview if the applicant has been shortlisted for the program.

2. For M.Pharma Pharmaceutics:

  • Qualify GPAT or apply for SGVUEE.
  • Then apply through the website
  • Submit mark sheets for graduation and other papers. 
  • Attend an interview, if shortlisted.

3. For D.Pharma:

  • Candidate should appear for SGVUEE.
  • Fill and submit the application along with the 12th board results.
  • Personal interview as a part of the selection process.

4. For Ph.D Pharmacy:

  • Submission of research proposal to the Department Doctoral Board. 
  • Presentation of synopsis for the proposed research work.
  • Continuous progress reports and presentations on research work conducted every six months.

The application process requires documents in general to be:

  • Passport size photographs
  • Mark sheets of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th, graduation as applicable).
  • Entrance exam score card (JEE Main/GPAT/SGVUEE).
  • Character certificate.
  • Transfer certificate.
  • Migration certificate (if applicable).
  • Caste certificate (if applicable).

Admission Process Degree wise 

B.Pharma: Admission to Gyan Vihar School of Pharmacy's B. Pharma program is determined by a candidate's performance in the JEE Main or GPAT. Provision also exists for direct admission in some limited cases. The sanctioned intake for B.Pharma is 100 seats. Eligibility criteria include passing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.

M.Pharma Pharmaceutics: To be selected for M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics, a candidate has to score well in the SGVUEE test or any other competitive examination like GPAT. The criteria for admission, however, also include marks now and a personal interview. The candidate, therefore, needs to be a B.Pharma graduate.

D.Pharma: The program of Diploma in Pharmacy has a sanctioned intake of 60 students. Admission to the course shall be on the basis of SGVUEE examination, 12th board results and a personal interview. This course is for students who have completed their 10+2.

Ph.D Pharmacy: For doctoral studies, candidates are required to present a research synopsis to the Department Doctoral Board. The candidates' progress shall be evaluated regularly and will require a presentation every six months for further guidance and assessment.
