Haryana Engineering College (HEC), that was established in the year 1998, is one of the most sought after college in Jagadhri of Haryana. It has a eleven Acre campus and programs in engineering and managerial science are available for students enrollment. It is an AICTE recognized college and having an overall strength of 534 students. HEC has 34 dedicated teachers that help to create a useful learning environment for future professionals.

The library with the current stock of books that is over 35,000 with 125 journals, and other form of materials in digital form. HEC has well equipped practical laboratories, workshops and computer labs for the practical sessions. The learners live in male/female only hostels within air-cooled rooms, 24-hour power and a mess. Just for recreation purposes, there are sports facilities, gym and cafeteria made available. In addition, there is also an auditorium that has the capacity to accommodate 250 people in the campus.

The college offers 10 courses across 4 main degrees: Five B. Tech programs, three M. Tech programs, one MBA and one BBA.

At Haryana Engineering College, admissions are mainly based on national entrance exams. For B.Tech programs, they use JEE Main ranks. For the MBA program, they look at CAT, MAT, or CMAT scores. HEC also has a Training and Placement Cell to help with career development and job placements.
