Heritage College of Education, Howrah Admission Process

Heritage College of Education, Howrah, as a co-educational institution affiliated to the University of Calcutta and approved by the NCTE. The college specializes in teacher training programs with admission to the selected programs being strictly, on the basis of merit, in line with the state government's policies and that of the affiliated university. 2. Application Form: Candidates need to obtain and fill out the application form. This may be available online from the college website or in person at the admission office of the college.

3. Submission of Documents: Candidates must attach all relevant documents with the completed application form, such as

  • Mark sheets of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th, and undergraduate degree for B.Ed. applicants)

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed.: This follows a two-year full-time program with an intake capacity for 100 seats at the Heritage College of Education. The admission to this program is based upon the merit of candidates based on their qualifying examination marks and/or entrance examination marks. The merit list and selection process follow the policies laid down by the State government of West Bengal and their affiliated University. Candidates must have completed their undergraduate degree for eligibility.

D.El.Ed.: The D.El.Ed. also offers a two-year full-time program with an intake of 100 students. Therefore, the admission for D.El.Ed. will be based on a merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained in a qualifying exam (10+2) and/ or an entrance examination. The merit list and selection criteria should implicitly follow the guidelines prescribed by the State Government or UT Administration. Higher secondary school certificates awarded to candidates are one of the minimum requirements for applying to this program.
