Indraprastha College for Women is a constituent college of the University of Delhi. It was established in 1924 as a part of a nation-wide campaign for women's education and empowerment. The college offers UG and PG programmes. It also offers a wide range of courses, which promotes interdisciplinary studies in Humanities, Mathematical Sciences and Commerce. The College has six research and learning resource centres. They are, Museum and Archives Learning Resource Centre, Translation and Translation Studies Centre, Centre for Earth Studies, Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies and Centre for Sanskrit Studies and Research. In 2021, the college has been ranked 68th in NIRF college rankings while Indraprastha College for Women was ranked 43rd in 2020.

North East Cell: The North East Cell of IP College College was established under the direction of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and the University of Delhi. The cell every year organizes an event where the students get the opportunity to showcase their talent and lustrous culture of North East.
Gandhi Study Circle: The group organises lectures, seminars, plays and quizzes centred on Gandhian thought.
NSS: NSS volunteers conduct a variety of activities, such as Blood Donation, HIV-AIDS Awareness, Family Life Education, Functional Literacy, Help for the Visually Impaired, College Campus Cleanliness, Socio-Economic Skill Development and Leadership and Personality Development, Senior Citizens’ Welfare Project, and social awareness besides helping allied agencies/NGOs.
NCC: NCC fortifies character, command and discipline among the students. It provides framing for a career in the forces. NCC Cadet Crop of the IP College organises and trains youth and provide leadership in all walks of life including the Armed and Navy forces. It also creates a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the armed forces.
Internal Complaints Committee (ICC): ICC is constituted every year in order to cater to problems of students. Students can bring various issues. The committee also provides a feedback system in place which provides a channel to students for reporting their grievance or giving any suggestion.
Equal Opportunity Cell: The cell provides an environment that supports diversity and respects everyone regardless of colour, religious belief or cultures. It also commits to ensuring the protection of everyone including minorities and acting as per the provisions of the constitution of India.
Anti-Smoking Cell: Delhi University has partnered with Delhi Police and World Lung Foundation-South Asia to promote the tobacco-free environment. To implement this IP College of Women has banned smoking in the college.
Anti Ragging Committee: Anti-Ragging Committee of I.P College for Women, Delhi ensures compliance with the provisions of the regulations as well as the provisions of the law concerning ragging is in force. It also monitors and oversees the performance of the Anti-Ragging Squad in prevention of ragging in the institution.
SC/ST Cell: The cell resolves all the affairs and problems related to the SC/ST students and faculties.
Grievance Redressal Committee: The Grievance Redressal Committee addresses any grievances raised by students related to general administration, examination/evaluation and any other problems related to day to day functioning.
Women Development Cell (WDC): WCD involves the members of students and teachers community. The objective of the cell is to create a gender sensitized community within the campus as well as in the society. It has been organising varied academic, technical, medical, cultural and social events for the upliftment of women and spread the real importance of gender equality in the society through the College students.
Gender Sensitization Committee: The committee is committed to the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women and takes active steps towards gender sensitization and elimination of sexual harassment.
ECO Club: The club of the College works with the objective to prevent global warming and create awareness about not to pollute the environment. It regularly organises activities related to the social contributions to the environment.
Enabling Unit: The Unit provides assistance to differently-abled students and staff members and makes them able to participate fully in the academic, intellectual, social and cultural life of the College.

Admission Process for UG Programmes:
The candidates have to visit the DU portal and get themselves registered for admission process.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on the qualifying exam marks (expect for one UG programmes which is offer based on DUET).
Marks obtained in the four subjects of candidate’s choice will be taken into consideration while preparing the cutoff.
As per the cutoffs candidates have to visit the allotted college along with the registration slip print out for document verification.
Final admission will be based on college allotment and payment of fee.
