Bachelor of Arts Honours in Economics is a three-year full-time course offered by University of Delhi, Delhi.
The Department of Economics is one of the oldest departments in Indraprastha College for Women. The undergraduate programme in Economics offers a set of courses designed to acquaint the students with rigorous economic theories and quantitative tools of economic analysis. A sound knowledge of the theoretical and applied aspects of Economics enables students to apply their knowledge to understand economic behaviour and evaluate economic policy.
The course is taught by a committed and experienced faculty who encourage students to link economic theories with the contemporary world economy. Besides classroom lectures, the students are trained through interactive techniques such as seminars, paper presentations, workshops and field trips.
The students of the department have also been involved in various activities, both in the college and outside. Many students have held important posts in the college students union and have often figured in the Principal's Honour Roll on the College Day. The students of the department of Economics have won laurels for the college by presenting papers at the National and International level.

Eligibility Criteria

A student must have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education/State Board or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto.

College Infrastructure

Since IPCW is the oldest college in Delhi University, it has an ancient infrastructure as well. It is well known for its beauty and "white walls". Our college provides all the necessities required by the students. The washroom aa well as the classes are clean and the canteen also maintains its hygiene.

The college is very good for academics and value for money.

College Infrastructure

The college looks appealing from outside but interiors require improvement. Amul and Nestle are available in the college. Dustbins are placed in almost every part of college for clean environment. Good hygiene.

College Infrastructure

Infrastructure: All Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, libraries, etc. are available. The best food is pure vegetarian; the quality of the food is very good; the mess is awesome; the rooms of the hostel are good; and the facilities provided to the students are also good. The staff are always very helpful.
