Jonai Science College, Dhemaji Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has no permanent hostel. It has been rented for Girls only with a capacity of 60 students. The borders are provided with such facilities as a reading room, outdoor games, a television set, etc. Admission to hostels is strictly on a merit basis. Reservations are as per the Government rules. Forms for admission to hostels will be provided after admission. Forms, duly filled out, are to be submitted to the office after admission. Boarders are to maintain strict discipline as per hostel rules. Violation of rules will lead to punitive action, even to the extent of expulsion from the college.

The College Library has a new RCC library building with computer facilities, with a total area of 900 sq. ft, with a seating capacity of about 50 readers. The college Library has a good collection of texts, references, and rare books with 13 journals, twelve magazines, and eight newspapers in both English and Assamese. The library remains open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On all working days. The college assists the poor and needy students by providing class books and reference books on the following conditions.

The College has its own Science Laboratory. It is well equipped, having sufficient numbers of equipment and apparatus with modern technology. The college has already appointed a laboratory Demonstrator and Laboratory Bearer for the smooth functioning of their practical works. In each department, 60 students together can work practically at the same time.

The College Auditorium has a sitting capacity of 400. It is for holding various competitions during the annual College Week along with other cultural programs besides seminars and meetings.

The College has a temporary canteen on the campus for the refreshment of students and teachers. The canteen usually functions from 10 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

The college has a modern computer Center is installing with 20 sets of the computer. The Centre is providing various Diploma Courses and Certificate Courses.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has a shed for parking cars, bicycles, and bikes for the employees and students of the college.

The college has a good network for the alumni association.

The college has extra activities, for example NSS, and NCC Facilities for all the students.

The college also provides workshop facilities for all the students.
