The College has become a platform for Academic as well as Literary Excellence for both students and teachers. The College has a Research Journal entitled 'Candescent' which intends to address both applied and theoretical issues. The scope of the journal encompasses research articles, original research reports, reviews, short communications, and scientific commentaries in the field of social sciences. An interdisciplinary research journal on women's cells named 'Janani' has been published regularly. This research journal addresses different empirical research articles on women and allied subjects. It is an important platform to discuss the plight of gender in Indian society with special reference to Assam and North East India.

The College has both indoor and outdoor activities for the benefit of the students. Mr. Joyonta Tamuli has been appointed as a Physical Instructor to look after both indoor and outdoor games and sports. Besides, faculty members are also appointed by the authority as the Adviser of indoor and outdoor games and sports for the benefit of the students. Last year, a well-equipped gymnasium with respective aids was provided by the College for the use and practice of the gym.

Henceforth, this association has provided an excellent liaison between the College and its former students and contributes actively to the development of the College.
