Students can take admission in any course of their choice provided they fulfil the basic eligibility criteria. All the admissions at Kabi Nazrul Mahavidyalaya, Sonamura will be in accordance with the rules and regulations set by the Department of Higher Education, Tripura, and through Tripura University. The Kabi Nazrul Mahavidyalaya, Sonamura shall offer admissions into its various undergraduate programs on the basis of merit in the 10+2 examination.

The B.A general subjects are- Bengali, English, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Economics, Education, Physical Education, Kokborak and Sociology. The subject offerings for B.A (Hons) is: Bengali, English, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Economics and Sociology. The B.Sc regular subjects are- Environmental Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Zoology, Human Physiology, and Botany. The B.Sc (Hons) programme is provided in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. The duration of the programmes is 3 years (6 semesters). The reservation policy of the government of Tripura will be followed.

Admission process:

• The admission form and the prospectus will have to be collected from the college itself by paying a fee of ₹30.

• The candidates are required to submit the filled up forms along with the photocopies of relevant documents to the college.

• All the documents are to be produced at the time of form submission as well as at the time of admission for verification.

• An applicant can apply for a maximum of 3 courses in a particular college. Subjects will be allotted strictly on the basis of merit.

• The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks of best of five subjects of 10+2 examination and the subject opted by the candidate. 

• If a candidate takes admission in one college, they cannot take admission into another college unless they surrender their seat in the first college.
