Kalabari College, Sonitpur Facilities

Library
Kalabari College has a well-managed Library situated in a central place within the college premises. The library is equipped with a substantial number of books, journals, newspapers, and magazines to satisfy the users, curriculum, research, and other references. A student can take the various services of the library such as book reading, newspaper reading, journal and magazine reading, borrowing books on loan for reading in their home, etc. by applying on a separate application provided by the librarian within a specified period. After taking admission to the college each student is requested to contact the librarian to apply for Library C. The library remains open from 10.00 a.m. to 4 p.m. on each working day except the gazette holidays, Sundays, and any other declared holidays. To digitize its library service Soul 2.0 was installed in the library in November 2019. A new Library building is under construction for the library within the college premises and is about to be completed.
I.T Infrastructure
The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
Sports
The college has the sports facilities for all students.
Laboratories
The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.
Auditorium
The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
Boys Hostel
The college has a boy’s hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
Girls Hostel
The college has a girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
Smart Classrooms
Kalabari College, Kalabari does not have a digital classroom to date but it is under construction along with a digital library under a scheme of the Government of Assam.
Extra Curricular Activities
The National Service Scheme (NSS) was introduced in Kalabari College in 2014 and Dr. Partha Pratim Saikia, Asstt. Professor, Dept. of English, Kalabari College is the Programme Officer (PO) of this unit. The NSS unit of Kalabari College has been undertaking and carrying out many extension activities in the locality.
