The college hostel accommodation provided within the secure and quiet atmosphere of the college campus enjoys the reputation of fostering physical, spiritual and intellectual growth in its inmates and the alumni fondly recall their stay in the hostel as one of their most cherished experiences because of their sense of community living. There are 225 seats and 35 rooms in the New Hostel, meant for undergraduate, P.G.student Hostel accommodation is inadequate to meet its ever-rising demand. On average, in the Degree classes and above, over 100 girls are denied hostel admission due to lack of space.
The College can confidently claim to possess one of the best college libraries in the city, catering to the requirements of various undergraduate courses and postgraduate (English) as well. Alibis of budget constraints have never come in the way of building up a rich library which happens to be the basic necessity of an educational institution and our suppliers have never complained of delay or other problems in payment. This obviously speaks for both the sincerity of our management and the commitment of our faculty to their profession. We are particularly proud of our collection of books on literature in English. Instead of armchair buying, the teachers have taken great pains to search out the relevant texts, critiques, and reference works from the collections of various booksellers. Among the leading Indian and foreign publishers whose titles adorn the library are Anchor, Allied, Blackwell, Cambridge University, Press, Icon, Faber, Katha, Macmillan, Mc Graw Hill, Norton, Orient Longman, Oxford University Press, Pencraft International, Penguin, Permanent Black, Pluto, Routledge, Sahitya Akademi, Seagull, Vintage, Viva, Wordsworth, and Worldview, etc.
The college has a well-equipped laboratory each for the Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, and Education departments. Besides being fitted with fans, tube lights, hanging lights, blackboards, taps, sinks, exhausts, ovens, burners, and fire-extinguishers, they are also equipped with instruments and gadgets necessary to perform the experiments as per the curriculum. The students are divided into batches for better management. If a student has missed a particular experiment due to her absence from college, she is encouraged to join a different group to make up for the practical class she has missed. Sometimes, separate practical classes are taken for such students at a later date. Practical and revision tests are taken regularly. Models and utility charts are used in the teaching process. All the necessary types of equipment are systematically arranged for the students.
The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
The College Management is always looking at new ways to improve facilities for students. A new double storied building housing the canteen on the ground floor and a common room for the students on the first floor has come upon the campus.
The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
The college has sports facilities for all students.
The college has good networking for the alumni association.
The college has a parking space facility for its faculty, staff, and students.
