KM College of Education, Kanpur Admission Process

KM College of Education, Kanpur  and is a co-educational college affiliated to a university. It is situated at Muiya, Ghatamapur, Kanpur Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. It has been recognized and accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education for admission into various education programs through a fully-fledged admission process.  KM College of Education is committed to merit-based admission criteria to bring the best-suited candidates into the fold. All programs are strictly concerned with admissions according to scores achieved in the relevant qualifying and / or entrance examinations. 

The admission policy of the college, like that of the other institutions affiliated with the university, follows policies set up by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh. For admission to the B.Ed and D.El.Ed programs, the college takes into account the marks scored in the qualifying examination and, in some cases, may include scores from the relevant entrance exam.

Application Procedure

1. Announcement of Admission: The college will notify the admission announcements through various media channels and on its home page.

2. Application Form: Candidates will obtain and fill out the application form. They may get it online from the college's website but they may also be able to collect it directly from the college admission office.

3. Submission of Documents: Alongside the completely filled application form, candidates have to submit all documents like

  • Marksheets of qualifying examinations
  • Entrance exam scorecard (if applicable)
  • Character certificate
  • Transfer certificate
  • Migration certificate (if applicable)
  • Caste certificate (for reserved category candidates)
  • And any other documents specified under the college rules.

4. Application Fee: The candidate has to submit the required application fee. Payment mode and fee details are usually mentioned in the application form or admission notification.

5. Entrance Examination: As may be required in any prescribed manner by the government of the state with regard to the program, the candidate may be required to attempt an entrance examination.

6. Merit List Preparation: The college will prepare a merit list based on the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination performance of candidates, as per government reservation policies.

7. Counselling and Allocation of Seats: Shortlisted candidates will be called for counselling for the allotment of seats based on merit and preferences.

8. Document Verification: All original documents are verified during the counselling process for authenticity in the details provided.

9. Fee Payment: The selected candidates will have to pay the stipulated course fee within a certain time period to confirm their admission.

10. Orientation: Admitted students are taken through orientation programs on the college rules and regulations that would govern and govern its academic structure.

Application Process Based on Degrees

B.Ed (Bachelor of Education): The B.Ed program at KM College of Education, Kanpur has an approved intake of 100 seats. Admission in the B.Ed program is purely on merit basis by marks obtained in qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The selection process is as per the policies notified by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh and the affiliated university. Candidates who have completed their graduation or post-graduation in a relevant subject can apply for the B.Ed program.

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): KM College of Education offering the D.El.Ed program has an approved intake of 100 seats. The admission process of D.El.Ed will also be based on merit according to marks obtained in qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The selection will be made as per the policies of the State Government of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates who have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination are generally eligible to apply for the D.El.Ed program.
