Founded in 1974, albeit no such college in Gardanibagh, Patna presently seems to be a premier women's college in higher education centers in Bihar which is government-aided. College is affiliated and recognized as such by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). It has an enrollment of 266 students supported by a faculty strength of 18, with a broader provision on undergraduate programs. There are four different degree courses imagined to meet the academic interest and career aspiration needs of the young women in the region.

The college has a variety of facilities organized to enrich the educational existence of students. A well-furnished library serves as a hub of knowledge with resources for academic and research purposes. Departmental laboratories carry out the practical work prescribed for science courses.
