KVG Dental College and Hospital, Sullia came into existence in 1991 is one of the prestigious Dental College in Karnataka, India. This affiliated college recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI) and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has started various dental courses in its five acre and two building complex. The college has a total of 422 students and 97 faculty members through which the college has fostered favourable environment for dental education. At present, the institute provides 13 courses in 4 degrees, involving undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma, as per different dental specialities.

It should also be noted that the KVG Dental College and Hospital offers a rich list of facilities to support student’s learning process and personal development. It is located in the top floor of the building and occupies 5008 square meters, and contains more than 3910 books and 62 national/international journals. It comprises undergraduate and postgraduate reading rooms as well as staff reading rooms that can conveniently host 350 students at a time. The institution also offers well-furnished hostels for the boys and girls which offer a secure and comfortable and these are within the reach of the institution. Other infrastructure amenities of the college include a health centre, a facility for first aid treatments, sporting amenities, an effective computer and internet provisions, a cafeteria, school hall for hosting functions, seminars and workshops, and transport facilities for students and employees.

Today KVG Dental College and Hospital has come up as an important institution for the study of dental Science and provide all the major dental course. The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) is a five-year full-time course to cater the need of the nation with 100 intake capacity forming the core of undergraduate curriculum. For postgraduate the college offers following Masters of Dental Surgery programs:- M.D.S – Prosthodontics M.D.S – Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery M.D.S – Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics etc. The mentioned MDS programs are long full-time courses that take three years to complete. 

Originally, the admission criteria in KVG Dental College and Hospital was centralised entrance examinations but the institution has the autonomy to admit students with higher cut off marks. The BDS program application is by the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Unified (NEET-UG).
