Mahaganapati Ayurvedic Medical College And Hospital, under the Krishna Education Society, Dharwad was started in the year 1992. This affiliated college committed to offer qualitative education in the field of Ayurveda is fully approved with Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM). Located at Hoysal Nagar in Haliyal Road the college has a pleasant atmosphere that fosters teaching and researching. This academic institution is fortified with a proven and proficient faculty of 34 members capable of paying individual attention to the learners. 

Mahaganapati Ayurvedic Medical College has made provision for various contemporary amenities to enhance its educational activities. One of the largest strong features of these is a hi-tech digitized library of 2300 sq.ft having facility of rich resources related to Ayurvedic & Modern streams. This facility is supplemented by interconnectivity of the internet facilities all over the compound where students may engage in research on the internet with ease. The institution also boasts of it having computers, multimedia facilities, and the internet in all classes, to give a good learning environment. For the purpose of training the college uses departmental based laboratories where student get practical experience in their area of specialisation.

Hence Mahaganapati Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital teach a single ‘full time’ course ‘Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)’. There’s an undergraduate with a span of six years making students understand and practice Ayurvedic medicine to the optimum. This course has an approved intake of 60 students to ensure focused learning and capacity within the college is well utilised.

This college is also offering admission to the candidates who have qualified the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) test only.
