Maharaj Vijayaram Gajapathi Raj College of Engineering, Vizianagaram was established in 1997. MVGR College of Engineering strives to become a centre of excellence for technical education where aspiring students can be transformed into skilled and well-rounded professionals. MVGRCE Vizianagaram offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in engineering and management. MVGRCE Vizianagaram has been recognised by the University Grant Commission (UGC).
Maharaj Vijayaram Gajapathi Raj College of Engineering, Vizianagaram courses are BE/BTech, ME/MTech, MBA and PhD. Admission into BE/B.Tech is given based on JEE Main, and AP EAMCET whereas ME/M.Tech admissions are given based on GATE, and AP PGECET while APICET scores are considered for MBA admissions. In contrast, PhD admissions are done based on an interview process. It has the best infrastructure. Nice environment for btech students regarding study purpose. Mvgr has best library which will be useful for every bookworms. Every lab infrastructure will be useful for gaining knowledge.

One of the best things this college has while compared to others is the best English lab where students experiment and become one of the best speakers in the society. The college provides the best hostel, canteen, and all other facilities in the hostel so that the students never miss home.

Our college has good infrastructure with equipped labs and a nature-loving environment, home-care, food and lodging. On-campus Wi-Fi facilities are available. There are sports facilities like a playing ground for cricket, football, volleyball, basketball and a special pitch for athletics. Other facilities are available, such as a library with centralised air-conditioning and more than 9k books and magazines. 4 seminar halls are centrally air-conditioned. Classrooms with projectors and labs with central air conditioning are available.

MVGR have excellent overall ratings. They have good and consistent placement record, average placement record is around 70%. Highest package offered is 24Lakhs per annum, lowest package offered is 1.8Lakhs per annum and average package offered is around 7.5-8Lakhs per annum. Top recruiting companies are Capgemini, Amazon, Samsung. They have nice infrastructure and helpful, supportive teaching faculties.
SRKR have overall excellent ratings much similar to that of MVGR. They are considered as one of the best college. They have good placement records and consistent records, average placement record is around 60%. Highest package offered is 20Lakhs per annum, lowest package offered is 3Lakhs per annum and average package offered is around 3.5-4Lakhs per annum. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Amazon, Wipro, etc. They have excellent infrastructure with highly qualified teaching faculties.
Both are better from different perspectives. MVGR is better from placement and package perspective. SRKR is better from infrastructure and faculties perspective.
My suggestion would be to go with SRKR.

Hi Aspirant,
There is no Arguments is going on MVGRCE those are all baseless rumors.
I strongly recommend that MVGR is one of the best college in AP For ECE department.
I would like to give some strong points to choose ECE DEPT. in MVGR.
- Well experienced faculty. Most of the faculty pursued their PH.D's from best universities in India.
- The laboratories are well equipped. If you have any innovative ideas the department definitely support you.
- ECE dept also Having some add-on programs like NI Labview, Embedded systems. Now a days very few colleges providing labview certification course and you can learn HFSS simulation tool also.
- Well coming to placements. They got almost 9 core companies. I think it's a big number for any college. Now they are in best core company in India as a R&D Engineer and most of the people settled in well reputation core companies. Totally 85% of the students placed i.e., 2019
