MVGR organised a guest lecture by Dr.S.Shrikanth on "Wifi Technology Evolution" on August 21, 2025.
The college has excellent infrastructure, including well-equipped labs, Wi-Fi, and a vast library. The hostel facilities are great, with good quality food available in the mess and canteen. Medical facilities, sports, and games are also well maintained.
Faculty is helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is excellent, and the course curriculum is relevant and industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult, with a pass percentage of 90%. There is a focus on practical knowledge.
Our batch had an excellent placement record, with 75% of students placed in top companies. The highest package offered is 15 LPA, the lowest is 5 LPA, and the average package is 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies included TCS and Google.
The infrastructure is overall decent. Hostel rooms are also good with three people sharing in 1st year and 2nd year. We get LAN facility for internet which works well for most of the time. The canteen food is good but the mess food is okay, not good every day
The curriculum followed here is as followed by most colleges in India with some good values courses. I think the culture here makes the student's industry ready. Semester exams are decent only with relatively low grading. You can easily score well by studying one week before.
Placements are decent. Most of the good companies like Google, Flipkart, Accenture, and many more visit our college but the reality is most of the students have to rely on campus placements. Yet the culture is decent so you don't need to worry much about placements.
Good infrastructure of lecture halls and the library. In hostels, we have one chair, a study table, a bed, and a cupboard for each student, and the rooms are three-sharing rooms. Talking about food, it is average; if you want to survive, you have to eat.
The teachers are well-educated and qualified, and they teach well. The curriculum is relevant to our course, and it helps us well. For an average student, it is very difficult to secure a good grade in exams because this college has relatively strict grading for students.
The highest package offered for this year is above 9 LPA, and more than 3 got more than 8.5 LPA. The least package offered for this year is 4 LPA. Top recruiters are Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Myntra, etc. Most of the students are placed on campus, and some have been placed off campus as well.
Facilities which are available in the college are very good and great. Infrastructure is very good and well maintained by the college, and the college has Wi-Fi and many kinds of labs that are maintained by the college very well, which makes the college techified.
Faculty members are very nice and engaging, they teach in a very engaging and light manner, and they give projects as homework, so you don't have to suffer from a lack of experience and knowledge. They also give one-to-one doubt consultancy. I think I am not sure, but course curriculum is relevant, I think.
Around 80 to 70% get placed. Highest package was 12 LPA, and average package was 2.49 LPA. Companies like these, Google, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, and many more multi-billion dollar companies, and as the college makes you fit for job interviews and internships, so you don't have to suffer at the last minute or last period.
The campus is clean and green with good facilities like Wi-Fi, central library, workshops, and separate hostels for boys and girls. New smart classrooms and labs are being developed. However, some buildings need renovation and better maintenance.
Most professors are knowledgeable and cooperative. Many hold PhDs and have years of teaching experience. While some classes can be a bit theoretical, those who are curious can learn a lot from the faculty. So faculty members are supportive and helpful.
Placements for core branches like mechanical and civil are average, but for CS/IT branches, they are much better. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, and Wipro visit the campus. Students also crack off-campus opportunities and GATE exams. The placement cell is supportive, but students need to be proactive.
The infrastructure is mostly old, with functional instruments and labs but needs considerable improvement. Continuous new infrastructure is being made, which is great. The recent labs, like the IoT lab, are well done. The hostels are all old; they have been renovated over time but require significant improvement. A new hostel is being built with air conditioning facilities as well.
The faculty is good but seems reluctant to teach, which is the best part. They send Ph.D. students to teach who often lack knowledge. Attendance is handed out easily by them, so there are very few teachers who want to teach; most send in Ph.D. students. Additionally, many of the assignments are also graded by Ph.D. students, and marks depend on how well you can convince them.
The placement is okay. Mostly mass recruiters come here, and mainly service-based companies for IT roles. Consulting for core Bhart Electronics Limited came last year for Electronics and Communication Engineering. Hummingbird has given the highest on-campus package for the last 3 years, approximately 12.5 LPA.
In my branch, which is CSE, we have our department building with labs and AC classrooms. In there are a total of 11 hostels, which include 7 boys' and 4 girls' hostels. All hostels have regular Wi-Fi connectivity, and the food in the hostel mess is average. Some hostels are very old but are in the process of renovation.
Some teachers are helpful and are highly qualified, many of them are IIT alumni. Every year, there are two semesters which are of moderate level difficulty and nearly 95% of students easily pass to the next year without any back paper.
Overall placement rate is around 70% to 80%. More top-branch students get placed every year. In CSE and IT branches 6 LPA to 8 LPA is the average package offered. MMMUT has a placement cell that helps students get placed more and more. Campus placements have been seen in recent years.
The infrastructure is good and decent. The facilities like Wi-Fi are enabled, labs are well-equipped, and classrooms are good with comfortable branches. The libraries are good. The hotel facilities are good. They provide medical facilities. The canteen is neat and clean. We have a huge playground
Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. They have 5 to 8 years of experience. They are very friendly and helpful. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are easy to pass. The pass percentage is 75%.
Almost 85% to 90% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Intel, Wipro, and Airtel. The top roles offered is network engineer and electronics design engineer. Around 70% of students got internships.
Our college provides excellent facilities, including high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the campus, well-equipped labs, and a library with a vast collection of books. Classrooms are spacious and conducive to learning. The hostel offers essential amenities such as Wi-Fi, hot water, and purified drinking water. Though the food quality is average.
Our teachers are highly supportive. They guide us in academics, skill development, and learning new concepts. The course offers above-average teaching quality, with a well-structured curriculum that aligns with industry needs and project-based learning. Semester exams are moderately challenging, with a course pass percentage of 80%.
Approximately 70% of students in our college secure placements. Top recruiters include Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, and Google. The highest package offered is 44 LPA. The lowest salary is 3.2 LPA. The average salary stands at 6 LPA. Around 40% of students gain internships, with key roles including project manager, software developer, and data analyst.
The campus provides separate hostels for boys and girls, and the hotel facilities are good. The washrooms are neat with attached bathrooms. The food is hygienic, and the medical facilities are good. The college infrastructure is good. The classrooms are good with comfortable benches, and the computer labs are air-conditioned. The Wi-Fi is enabled, and the books are available in the library. The sports facilities are also good.
The teachers are well-qualified and experienced. They have good knowledge about their subjects. Their teaching quality is good, and they clarify our doubts. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are tough, and the pass percentage is 65%
The top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, and Accenture. Nearly 80% of students got placed. The highest salary is 14 LPA, and the lowest salary is 3 LPA. The top roles offered are web developer and software developer. 70% of students got internships.

Both are better from different perspectives. MVGR is better from placement and package perspective. SRKR is better from infrastructure and faculties perspective.
My suggestion would be to go with SRKR.
Choose wisely, ALL THE BEST. Hope the answer was helpful.
Thank You
