Being a medical college affiliated with the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Medical College in Kolenchery was started in 2002 in Kochi, Kerala. This affiliated college is NMC approved and provides the following programmes: It is a government-aided college that has a total strength of 549 students and 148 members of the faculty, making it ideal for medical education. The institution provides 10 courses in 4 degree programmes that focus on different branches of medicine. In this capacity, as a co-educational school, it enrols learners of both sexes so as to promote equality in the learning environment.

The college has various facilities to make sure that it meets the co-curricular and extra co-curricular needs for the students.
