The Manakula Vinayagar Institute of Technology, Pondicherry was established in the year 2008, and is affiliated and accredited by NAAC with a grade of 'A'. The MVIT is recognised by the University Grants Commission and approved by AICTE. The MVIT Pondicherry Institute offers 3 Degrees and 12 Courses. The institute offers degrees and courses in different streams. The MVIT courses provide undergraduate courses and postgraduate courses to its students. To meet the  MVITeligibility criteria candidates must meet the relevant requirements to get admission into the MVIT Pondicherry. 

The MVIT Pondicherry admissions are provided on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination and performance in the last academics. The MVIT Pondicherry placement cell hosts a mega job fair every year and more than 30 reputed IT and core companies participate in MVIT’s job fair and more than 1,500 participate in the job fair every year. The MVIT The institute provides various facilities on the campus for its students, staff and employees. The MVIT facilities include a huge library, separate hostels for boys and girls, a canteen, laboratories, a reading room and transport facilities.
