I got preparatory rank 1180 in jee advanced 2019 and jee main rank 2798 both in sc category. Can I get both IIT and NIT according to josaa?

Sir...I have got 2 lakh 43 thousand rank in jee main....and 78 thousand as obc ..sir..plz tell me which colleges should I prefer for josaa..

With the obc rank of 78K it is impossible to get a seat in any nit. Nit rourkela is your state nit which is a top nit so it is difficult to get any seat even with home state quota. So better try in other private engineering colleges.

I am sorry to inform you that your marks is quite low to get into any of the NITs or any of the government colleges. However, you can hope to get into a private college with a decent branch.

How josaa gives ranking based on percentile in jee main?

Dear,

Percentile Score shows the percentage of candidates who have scored equal to or below a particular percentile in an exam. It is the normalized score and not the raw scores. After normalization, each topper of a session will get the same percentile of 100 which is the desirable one.

This is the first time the ews category has ever been implented so no one really has a clarity about this. So I suggest you to participate in the counselling fill out your options, when the results of the first round comes out you will have a vague idea

What can be said about general cut-off of engineering Institutes which give admission through josaa for 2019 considering new quota for ews ?

You can expect that the cut-off for the general gender neutral category will go slightly up for each of the branches in almost every colleges taking admission through JOSAA.

So maybe if CSE at MNIT Jaipur closed at 4800 for general boys then it might close at 4650 this year.

How should I fill my preferences for Josaa Counselling if I have 1 lac 8 thousand rank and I want CSE? My home state is Delhi.

I am sorry kiddo but it seems like with a rank of around 1,08,000 you cannot get a seat in any of the JOSAA institutes including NITs/IIITs/GFTIs and this I am saying for all branches and not just computer science.

12th marks is only for elligiblity criteria for josaa . There is no any increment in your Jee rank or score .
It has not any weightage in college placement or josaa counseling . It's only up to elligiblity criteria .
