Mata Sundri College for Women is a constituent college of the University of Delhi. The college was founded in 1967 by the Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, Delhi State. The college offers liberal education in humanities, commerce as well as sciences. The college also offers a B.El.Ed course, which is an integrated professional degree programme. The college also has other skill-based education programmes, which includes basic and advanced courses in computers, travel & tourism, textile designing and foreign languages. Clubs, Societies, and Committees:
Debating Society: This society of MSC hones the oratory and analytical skills of the students while learning to work as a team. The society organises exciting events, often on a mega scale.
Dramatics Society: The Dramatics society of MSC is a good platform for the students to showcase their talent in acting. The street play team of the college actively represents the college in inter-college competitions.
Dance Society: This is a western dance society of the college and is famous for its coordination, Bollywood chunks, and use of props. The society represents the college in various competitions.
Quiz Club: The objective of the quiz club is to popularize quizzing activities among students and to encourage them to take part in all competitive examinations at the state and central level.
NSS: NSS volunteers conduct a variety of activities, such as Blood Donation, HIV-AIDS Awareness, Family Life Education, Functional Literacy, Help for the Visually Impaired, College Campus Cleanliness, Socio-Economic Skill Development and Leadership and Personality Development, Senior Citizens’ Welfare Project, and social awareness besides helping allied agencies/NGOs.
NCC: NCC fortifies character, command, and discipline among the students. It provides framing for a career in the forces. NCC Cadet Crop of the MSC organises and trains youth and provides leadership in all walks of life including the Armed and Navy forces. It also creates a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the armed forces.
Student Counsel: MSC student union is the representative body of the students. Every year the college election is held and fought with great enthusiasm.
North East Cell: The North East Cell was established in 2014 under the direction of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and the University of Delhi. The cell every year organises an event where the students get the opportunity to showcase their talent and lustrous culture of the North East.
Enabling Unit: The Unit provides assistance to differently-abled students and staff members and makes them unable to participate fully in the academic, intellectual, social, and cultural life of the College.
Women Empowerment Cell: This cell was established to address the practical issues related to the welfare of and equal opportunities for women faculty members, staff, and students.
