Nalanda college of education, Hamirpur was started in the year 2000, affiliated to effective colleges and located in the beauty of Himachal Pradesh, India. Located in VPO Jhaniari (Salasi), this co-educational institution is committed to helping the future of the faculty members. Covering of an area of approximately 1 acres, the college is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) which guarantees maintaining quality standards in the teacher education programmes of the college. Nalanda College of Education has mere 199 students and number of faculty members is 13 which actually helps the college to provide qualitative education by focusing on each student and faculty requires overall personality development.

Nalanda College of Education currently offers one primary course: this programme is the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). This is a two year course done full time and is intended to equip the student with what they need to become respectable teachers. Admitted intake for this programme is 100 seats and is competency based offering adequate professional training in educational theory and practice.
