National College of Education, Salem Admission Process

National College of Education admission follows a merit-based system. National College of Education admission tends to begin with the academic year, usually starting in June or July. 

The minimum qualification for B.Ed is the completion of a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised university. Candidates applying for the M.Ed programme at National College of Education should have passed B.Ed or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution. National College of Education admission to both programmes is done based on overall qualification in the previous examinations.

Candidates are admitted to the National College of Education solely on the merit of the candidate in the qualifying examinations. However, candidates may need to appear at any entrance exams or selection procedures as desired by the State Government, university, or UT administration for admissions to the M.Ed course as well.

The application procedure at the National College of Education, Salem, includes the following process:

  • Collect all the necessary documents.

The college offers two courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. 

National College of Education B.Ed Admission Process 

B.Ed programme is a full-time course offered for two years. The candidate is selected solely based on merit acquired in his or her qualifying examination. National College of Education has a 50-50-intake capacity for the B.Ed course as approved.

National College of Education M.Ed. Admission Process

M.Ed. is a two-year full-time course. The National College of Education admission to M.Ed is strictly on merit, that is, based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination, namely B.Ed or equivalent. Moreover, the candidate may also have to appear for an entrance examination or any other selection process as prescribed by the state government, university, or UT administration. The approved intake for the M.Ed programme is 50 seats.
