About NIFT Shillong
National Institute of Fashion Technology Shillong campus is one of the 18 centres of the National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi. NIFT Shillong Institute was established in 2008 as the first premier fashion institute in the Northeast. NIFT Shillong courses include B.Des - Accessory Design, B.Des - Fashion Design, B.Des - Textile Design and B.Des - Fashion Communication.

The campus is spread across 28 acre area. The permanent NIFT Shillong campus has been built under the Shillong township project which also plans to host IIM, IHM, and social bodies such as the United Nations Resource Centre. NIFT Shillong courses are attempt to bring traditional crafts, creativity and skills into the mainstream.

National Institute of Fashion Technology Shillong offers four undergraduate courses. The course duration for undergraduate courses is four years.

NIFT Shillong B.Des Admission Process
Candidates have to appear for NIFT Entrance Exam for B.Des.
The entrance exam has three stages - Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT) and Situation Test (ST).
Candidates clearing CAT and GAT will be eligible for the Situation test.
Obtain a NIFT score that meets the NIFT Shillong cut-offs.
Candidates who meet the cut-offs will have to register for NIFT counselling.
Seats at NIFT Shillong will be allotted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the exam and preference for the institute.
Once the seats are allocated, pay the course fee and complete the admission formalities.

NIFT Shillong MFM Admission 2026
NIFT Shillong started the Master of Fashion Management course in 2013. Admission to this course is offered through the NIFT Shillong PG entrance examination.

NIFT Shillong MFM Admission Process
Candidates have to appear for the NIFT entrance exam for MFM.
