Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Oceanography shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work, and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned, offered by Goa University, Taleigao Plateau, Goa.


Eligibility Criteria

For Ph.D. (Science): A Master’s degree in Science having a valid National level fellowship (JRF/SRF of various funding agencies, e.g. CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST, etc.), INSPIRE, or other equivalent fellowships.

Admission Details

CSIR-NIO conducts interviews of students only once a year in June/ July for admission to the AcSIR doctoral classes starting in August every year.
