About Nehru Arts and Science College, Coimbatore
Nehru Arts and Science College (NASC) was set up in 1998 and is an autonomous college in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. Located in a large 35-acre campus NASC provides 50 diverse courses in its 11 different degree programmes. The college has a total population of 3,543 students, 55% male students and 45% female students. NASC is affiliated to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council Reflection of Quality in Education. There are 144 members in the faculty, which makes the college retain a low student faculty ration, making a balance possible between tutoring and individual mentoring.
These are other areas that NASC takes pride in its modern facilities that accomodate the learning facilities of the students. This college has twin modern hostel facilities for boys and girls separately, with a total student capacity of more than 5000, with A/C and non A/C facilities. A well stocked library is a part of the campus having more than three lac books in its collection procured from international /national journals /magazines.
This means that NASC has an eclectic array of courses to offer for students in different fields of specialisation. The college offers 50 courses for it’s students, 46 of which are undergraduate, 3 being postgraduate, as well as M.Phil and PhD. programmes for research. It offers undergraduate degree that take three years to complete and post graduate courses that take about two years to complete.

College Infrastructure
As a faculty I feel very happy and proud to be a part of NGI Family.Providing good ambience,Advanced lab equipments,friendly colleagues.All the teaching and non-teaching staffs are very friendly and helpful.

College Infrastructure
The college infrastructure is decent but could use some improvements. The classrooms are spacious and well-ventilated, though some of the furniture feels a bit outdated. The library is moderately stocked with essential reference books and offers a quiet space for study. Laboratory facilities are functional and maintained regularly, but advanced equipment is limited. The campus is clean and has basic amenities like Wi-Fi, canteen, and parking space, although internet speed and food quality can vary. Overall, the infrastructure is satisfactory for academic purposes but not exceptional.
