NSS College, Nilamel Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a health center with a student first aid facility. The college cares for and supports female health.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college library at present is one of the best of its kind in colleges affiliated with Kerala University, suitable for a first-grade Institution with a collection of more than 46 thousand volumes of documents comprising books, CD-ROMs, Journal archives, Maps, Atlas, Glob, etc. The library serves the Research Scholars of the Research Centre, University of Kerala. The library has mainly three sections viz, Stack section, Reference Section, and Periodical Section. In the Stack Room books are arranged according to the subject catalog. The Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) scheme has been used for subject classification. The books in the Reference section are allowed for reference during the working hours of the library. In the Periodical section, almost all current newspapers and the library subscribes to 25 periodicals and other supplements. Members are permitted to use this section throughout the working hours. The college has sports facilities for all students.

The College has a Computer Centre on the campus. Students are given facilities for the study of Computer applications included in the regular syllabus and to use the Internet for research and project work, at concessional rates. Another Computer Lab for B. Sc. Physics has been set up using the UGC grant.

Canteen facilities are available to students and staff. The canteen provides food to students at subsidized rates. Lunch and other refreshments are served in the canteen on all working days.

The college has a department-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The College has a Classroom facility available for students.

The College has three Digital Classrooms. This room has a computer, multimedia projector, interactive digital board, internet, and LAN connectivity. The teachers can access the internet while class is going on and provide the latest information and references to the students
