Parul Institute of Pharmacy and Research, Waghodia Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a boys' hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. All hostels have 24-hour water (timely hot water in winter), electric supply, WiFi, etc. On-campus amenities such as Gymnasium, Swimming Pool, Open Air Theatre, Banking Service, and Hospital are also available to the students. Separate hostel blocks for NRIs and International students equipped with Air conditioners and other modern facilities are also available. There are Five Messes on campus that serve nutritious Breakfast, Lunch, High Tea, and Dinner to the hostel residents.

The College provides Medical facilities with 350-bed Parul Sevashram Hospital and 250-bedded Parul Ayurveda Hospital is operational 24×7 on the campus and students have full access to all the healthcare facilities including emergency medical care. Hospitals are equipped with all Clinical Departments, Advanced Radiology and Pathology Departments, 20-bed Intensive Care Units, Operation Theatres, Dialysis Units, Physiotherapy Units, and a special neurological unit.

The College provides a Fitness Center with a Modern Gymnasium and Aerobics Arena spread over an area of more than 5000 square feet with sophisticated equipment, a steam bath, sauna bath, hot showers, and a changing area. A team of Qualified and Highly Experienced Fitness Trainers guides students at the gymnasium as well as for the aerobics. A full-time dietician and nutritionist are also available at the fitness center to counsel the students on a healthy and nutritious diet plan. Swimming Pool with a qualified trainer is also available on campus for the students.

The College has Library facility it has 10 libraries with more than 24,000 books, 15825 online journals/magazines, 1315 print journals/magazines, 30 news dailies, a Reference Section containing Encyclopedias, books on General Knowledge, and Competitive Exams, Dictionaries, previous volumes of journals/magazines and Remote access to thousands of libraries through DELNET and also to various reference and plagiarism software. All libraries are linked to the central library “Gyanoday Bhawan” and are fully computerized with the Barcode system for the issue and return of Books. More than 20,000 students avail Book Back Facility every year from counseling these libraries at the campus.

The College provides Sports Facilities such as a Cricket Ground, Basketball court, Volleyball Court, Hand Ball Court, Badminton court, Football Field, Table Tennis, Chess, Carom, etc. available for the students on campus. Our students have brought laurels by winning many intercollege sports tournaments under the guidance of a dedicated team of Physical Instructors. Annual indoor and outdoor activities/competitions within the university are also organized.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students, it is a state-of-the-art computer network with an adequate number of nodes connecting all the members of the Institute community with each other. This network has a fiber optics backbone with one or more fiber segments reaching every building on the campus.

The College provides a canteen facility with Hygienic, Homely, and Healthy Food for all our students and scholars is the topmost priority for the management of Parul University. All our hostels have spacious dining halls and messes that serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner as per the daily menu with a special diet on Sundays. Moreover, there are Food Courts and College Canteens where the students can go for tea, coffee, cold drinks, ice cream, snacks, and different varieties of food throughout the day. We also have Nescafe outlets on campus for students and staff.

The College provides a lavish auditorium possessing over 600 sqm of carpet area and a seating capacity of 420. It is centrally air-conditioned and equipped with incandescent lights, good acoustics, audio-visual aids such as microphones, audio/video recording, video playback, slide projector, cue light system, audio/video feeds for camera crews, fixed talkback facility, additional talkback, headsets, video tripod, etc. Moreover, there are 6 seminar halls having varied seating capacities of 50 to 175. These facilities cater to multiple uses such as meetings of students and faculty members, convocations, presentations, short-term training programs, workshops, conferences, expert/guest lectures, cultural activities, celebrations, functions, gatherings, etc.

The College Provides Transport Facilities with Over 4000 students and 1000 staff members residing in various regions of Vadodara city safely and comfortably commute every day to Parul University by 63 buses and 20 passenger vans. Daily Bus facility from cities nearby Vadodara such as Anand, Nadiad, Ahmedabad, Karajan, and Bharuch is also available to students and staff members. Our Bus drivers are highly experienced and are licensed by the RTO to drive college buses to ensure the utmost safety of both the students and staff members. Bus Facility is also available for the students and faculty members for their industrial visits, field trips, and other activities.

The College Department of Pharmaceutics has been provided with all the latest types of equipment for drug delivery technology to perform various pharmaceutical research activities. A separate machine room has been provided with all the sophisticated machines like Cryocentrifuge, Differential Scanning Calorimeter, Dissolution Test Apparatus, Ultrasonicator, Polarising Microscope, Homogenizer, lyophilizer, Spray Dryer, Tablet Compression Machine, etc. Apart from this pharmaceutical technology the NDDS department also has a facility for biotechnological research under aseptic conditions. Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis has an analytical instrument room with sophisticated instruments like Ultraviolet Spectrophotometer (UV), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrophotometer (FTIR), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), PH-meter, Ultra Sonicator, SpectroFluorimeter, Colorimeter, Conductometers, etc. Department of Pharmacology has equipped withPlethysmometer, Analgesiometer, Convulsiometer, Eddy’s Hot plate, Rotarod apparatus, and student’s Physiograph. The laboratory also has models and charts of Human anatomy and physiology. Along with this department has provided a separate animal house to perform the animal activity. Department of Pharmacognosy has facilities for Plant Tissue Culture, Soxhlet Extractors, Distillation unit, TLC chamber, Travelling Microscope, Student Projection Microscope, Digital Balances, Heating Mantle, Hot Plate, Muffle Furnace, etc. The pharmaceutical Chemistry laboratory has facilities for qualitative analysis, organic synthesis, and pharmaceutical analysis of drugs and excipients... The laboratory is furnished with all the latest instruments and apparatus for chemistry experiments.
