About Phonics University, Roorkee
Phonics University Roorkee, formerly known as Phonics Group of Institutions Roorkee, was established in 2009. Phonics Group of Institutions was established under the Uttarakhand Private University (Amendment) Act, 2025. Phonics Group of Institutions Roorkee was accredited and recognised by UGC, Pharmacy Council of India, AICTE, Indian Nursing Council and Indian Paramedical Council.
Phonics Group of Institutions offers admissions to various courses at the diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. These courses include Diploma, B.Voc, B.Ed, B.Sc, B.Tech, BCA, BBA, B.Com, BA, MA, M.Tech, MCA, MBA, M.Com, M.Sc and some other courses. Admissions are offered based on merit and entrance examinations. Candidates should appear in CUET/PUET entrance examinations for admissions to BBA, B.Com, B.Sc, MCA, M.Com and M.Sc programmes, PUET entrance examination for admission to B.Ed programme, JEE Main/JEE Advanced/PUET entrance exams for admission to B.Tech programmes, CAT/MAT/CUET/PUET entrance tests for admission to MBA programmes and GATE/PUET entrance tests for admission to M.Tech programmes.
The Phonics Group of Institutions has a Placement Cell. As per 2020-23 placement report, around 9% of students received job offers with a package of more than 12 LPA. Good infrastructure clean environment, nice garden area greenery surrounding the campus. The hostels were quite good. Plus the washrooms were attached to rooms. Hygiene was taken care. Food was not so good though.
