60 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy in Nursing is three to five years (Three years from the date of provisional registration and Maximum period of five years) full-time course and offered by Pondicherry University, Puducherry.
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate who fulfills the following shall be eligible for Ph.D. (N) programme:
1. The candidates should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
2. The minimum education requirement shall be pass in M.Sc Nursing.
3. The candidate should have undergone M.Sc Nursing/M.Phil (N) in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
4. Shall have 3 years of work experience after M.Sc Nursing.
Admission Details
Selection of the candidates is based on Entrance Examination held by the University or Competent Authority. Admissions are done through Registrar office Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, Puducherry.
