General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year and six-month full-time diploma program offered by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad.


Eligibility Criteria

Basic Requirements: Aspirants must have passed 10+2 with English, securing at least 40% in the qualifying examination from any board recognized by the government. Note: The Science stream is preferable.

State & National Open School Graduates: Those who've completed their education from State Open Schools recognized by State Governments or from the National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government are also eligible.

Vocational Courses: Students with 40% marks in the 10+2 vocational ANM course from schools endorsed by the Indian Nursing Council, or those who've secured 40% in the Vocational Stream-Health Care Science from recognized CBSE boards/centers, are eligible.

Registered ANM: If you are a registered ANM with passing marks, you meet the eligibility criteria.

 Age Limit: Candidates should be a minimum of 17 years old as of 31st December of the admission year. The maximum age for entry is 35 years. However, for ANM/LHV candidates, age is not a limiting factor.  

Admission Details

Final selection is based on merit, taking into account academic performance and other relevant factors.
