QIS College of Pharmacy, Ongole Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

A dispensary inside the college campus provides emergency service to the students and staff. Full time doctor & Staff Nurse attend the dispensary. A tie-up exists with a local multi-specialty hospital (RIMS, Ongole) for attending to serious medical complications. An ambulance caters to the needs of the students, boarders and staff. First-aid assistance is extended by a number of Laboratories inside the campus and all the buses. Emergency Medicines & OTC Drugs are available for the needy.

A modern and well-equipped gymnasium with the latest health equipment is made available to students and staff of QIS in the campus.

The college’s library plays a crucial role in assisting students and faculty in carrying out their programmes. The library has every sort of publication available for the students. It adequately serves the information needs and requirements of the faculty members, research scholars, postgraduates and undergraduates.

The Computer Laboratory is helpful in the teaching of the English language, computer science, pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical care, and clinical pharmacy courses. The Computer Laboratory is well equipped with high configured computers having Internet connections and auditory systems. Besides this Computer Laboratory, the College enjoys full technical guidance, support, and know-how from the Information technology (IT) department, which is its sister organization and is adjacent to QIS premises.

Canteen and Bakery is functioning in the campus adjacent to the Book Store for the benefit of students & staff. Spacious, airy & trendy canteen & bakery offers ample scope for students to break free from their tough schedules and enjoy appetizing food in an extremely casual yet pleasant ambience. Quality vegetarian food prepared in a hygienic environment to suit diverse taste buds are provided in the canteen.All bakery items such as cakes, breads, cream buns, puffs will be available for the whole day. 

QIS Educational Institutions Transport policy aimed at aligning the demand and supply of the Institutional transport services through effective management of the Institutional vehicles, increasing staff and students understanding of the overall institutional fleet programs, Provide greater accountability of the Institutional fleet, comprehensively operate, maintain and repair vehicles to acceptable safety standards.

QIS provides WiFi facilities for the students and faculty on the campus. The Internet facilities allow users to carry on with their research.

Anatomy and Physiology LabAnatomy and Physiology lab is designed to provide a foundation in human biology. This includes a familiarity with the basic anatomical and histological organization of the human body and its physiology. Students will learn how the various organs of the body interact with one another and how they contribute to the overall physiology of the body.Central Instrumentation FacilityThe Facility helps in knowledge sharing by constant interaction with all the Departments. Central instrumentation Laboratory equipped with modern instruments like HPLC, Spectro-fluorimeter, Ultrasonic homogenizer, UV spectrophotometer, Refrigerated Centrifuge, Electrophorosis unit, High sensitivity digital balance etc. The Central Instrumentation Lab provides analytical support and intellectual input to students of the Institute. As a result of excellent laboratory facilities and their proper utilization under the supervision of faculty members, the pass outs will have an edge for immediate employmentComputer LabComputer lab is designed to provide a teaching environment that develops specific skills to the students to help them master the technology skills needed in their particular field, as well as learn how software assists in information gathering, analysis, and organization of material for presentation and effective decision making.The computer lab offers different software applications for support of the many program areas; such as, standard applications, Internet applications, programming and art design application. This computer lab is equipped with the following software’s Windows OS, C++, MS office, Chem Draw, Chem Sketch, IR Paul, SPSS, & Ex -Pharm (Pharmacology interactive animal model)

Separate hostels have been provided for boys on the campus as well as in Ongole town with all facilities to provide homely accommodation. Healthy and hygienic food, telephone, round the clock security and general stores are made available at the hostel. Boarders include students from different parts of the state and country.
