Rajdhani College was founded in 1964 by Delhi Administration in Kirti Nagar, New Delhi under the name of Government College but was later changed to Rajdhani College. The college is affiliated with the University of Delhi and is accredited by NAAC. The college is recognised by UGC, the Ministry of HRD and the Government of India. Rajdhani College Delhi offers a total of 34 courses out of which 30 courses are of undergraduate level and 4 courses are of postgraduate level. 

Admission to undergraduate courses is based on the CUET (Common University Entrance Exam) and admission to postgraduate courses is based on DUET (Delhi University Entrance Examination). The college has good infrastructure facilities for students and provides various scholarships for candidates who needs financial assistance and have good academic record overall. The college also provides good placements for the students.
