- Should have passed the 10+2 examination with any stream conducted by the Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education or any other recognized equivalent examination.
- Should have secured at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination (40% for SC/ST candidates).
- The candidate should be in good health and possess sound mental and moral character.
