College is built on a peaceful and green campus surrounded by hills and nature. It has well-maintained academic blocks, labs, and a central library with good resources. Hostels are provided for both boys and girls with clean rooms and Wi-Fi. The canteen serves decent food at affordable prices. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with projectors. Transportation to the campus is easily available from nearby towns.
Faculty uses practical methods, combining theory with hands-on training, especially in engineering courses. The syllabus is regularly updated to keep up with modern technologies. Workshops and technical fests are encouraged. Students can participate in paper presentations and inter-college competitions to sharpen their knowledge. Regular tests, assignments, and project work help build a strong academic base.
Many reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, and IBS Software recruit from the campus. Students from Computer Science and Electronics backgrounds often get placed with decent packages. Training for aptitude, interviews, and group discussions is conducted before placement season. Some students also get internships, which later turn into job offers.
The college has a relatively small campus, but it is Highly maintained with nice classrooms with ac and smart boards. well maintained and air conditioned rooms. the campus does not have much greanry though.
Understanding facilities and working with very educated and skilled professionals. you can find some really good mentors here. they are highly professional and compassionate teachers. the library is well equipped as well.
in the sem 4 placement incharge won't let me do offline internship and didn't even give proper replies. The placement may be good , but the internship offers from college were mostly sales and placement in charge is very rude.
it's fine . the college has small scale fest almost every month with one annual big fest.
not really
There are well-furnished classrooms and digital teaching tools in most departments. The laboratories are modern, especially in electronics and computer science. Hostels are comfortable and safe, with basic amenities like laundry, Wi-Fi, and mess food. The library is spacious and has both print and digital resources. Cleanliness and greenery are maintained throughout the campus. Facilities like a basketball court and indoor games are also available.
The faculty members are friendly and make learning interesting. Regular lectures, lab sessions, and doubt-clearing help students understand their subjects well. Teachers provide notes and guide students through projects and practicals. Academic events like paper presentations, workshops, and coding marathons are encouraged. The university syllabus is followed strictly, and internal exams are conducted timely.
Placements are fair and show improvement each year. More companies are showing interest in hiring students from this college. While IT companies dominate, some core companies also visit for recruitment. Placement training begins early in the final year and includes aptitude practice, group discussions, and mock interviews. Students who take training seriously often succeed in getting placed.
The engineering departments have up-to-date labs and quality instruments. The campus has computer labs with good internet, a modern seminar hall, and multiple classrooms with smart boards. Separate hostels for boys and girls are provided, and the mess serves healthy meals. A clean canteen and relaxation areas add to student comfort. Sports grounds and cultural spaces help students balance academics with hobbies and interests.
The college focuses on teaching through a mix of classroom instruction, lab work, and project-based learning. Faculty are knowledgeable and always ready to guide students. Workshops and tech fests are part of the academic calendar, helping students enhance their skills. Internal assessments and assignments are used to track progress. Most departments also conduct special sessions for competitive exams and extra learning.
Many students land jobs in IT services and software companies. Training for aptitude, communication, and coding starts before the placement season. The placement cell is active and brings in companies each year. There are also opportunities for off-campus and alumni referrals. Students are encouraged to apply for internships and higher studies if they don’t get placed.
Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology offers a calm learning environment with clean buildings and green surroundings. The college library is stocked with a good number of textbooks and journals. Labs are well-equipped, especially in core engineering departments. The computer lab has stable internet, and the campus has good Wi-Fi connectivity. Hostel life is comfortable, with proper security and basic facilities. Sports and recreational areas are available, helping students relax outside academic hours.
The academic environment is supportive and student-friendly. Teachers focus on helping students understand the core concepts clearly. Most of the faculty have higher degrees and some even have industry experience. Classroom teaching is supported with presentations and lab activities. The college encourages mini-projects, research, and innovative ideas. Sessional exams, assignments, and practicals help students stay in touch with the curriculum.
The placement scenario is moderate but getting better. Core companies visit mostly for computer and electronics students, offering roles in software development and testing. Other branches also see a few placement opportunities. With growing alumni connections and consistent effort, placement outcomes are expected to rise.
The infrastructure of our college is good. The best part is the library, which is well furnished and well equipped with lots of books, and the Ac study room is the best part of the college. Environment is also good.
The faculties of our college were good as each faculty having a vast experience of teaching. The teachers of our college are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable but some are not interested in teaching and some are very strict.
Our college has a placement cell, but only few good companies visit our campus for placement. The placement cell of our college is not very active as we don't find many internship or job for my course.
The building of this college is very well built .. Classrooms should be well built with necessary technology like projector . Our college provideds alots and very kind of facility .. Hostels are also built in very well mannered.
I have had an extremely positive experience at this college, where I have acquired a wealth of new knowledge and skills , thanks to the high-quality teaching and well-structured curriculum. the teacher at this college is very knowledgeable and expertise in their field
The placement percentage of students is 80-85% . Our college attract a wide range of tp companies across various sectors ..i learned allot through intership training..the average and high salary package offered is 50 lakh to 2.5 Crore
I feel infrastructure can get better .. especially when it comes to facilities and all.. the washrooms are not at all maintained. Old buildings feels like purana qila something and snb is good but still they dont schedule everyone’s class there and ground is so big ..its not utilised for fests n events.. amphitheater is good .. i like it.. seminar can get better.. and nb snb buildings are good.
Academics for my course is genuinely very good just because of the professors i guess. Cvs has good faculty.. especi My course .. professors are really kind and guide us in everyway possible. So, yaa academics wise its good.
Not good Because they don’t guarantee placements or anything there is no support from college in that sense as well And as i said, its the faculty who sometimes helps on personal level for placements.
Overall I genuinely feel societies are the heart of CVS .. cultural societies, women development cell , other cells, academic societies all are so good and such a great platform to explore and grow and genuinely my whole college life revolves around societies..if i would’ve not joined so societies my all the reviews would have been so negative.. but yeah cvs is one of the best chapters of my life.
My college infrastructure is very large and campus is great, and the labs, canteen, and classrooms are very spacious. Canteen provides good delicious meals, and the campus is also equipped with the wifi facility.
All teacher were very good and experienced faculty members who provides detailed knowledge of the subject and make you aware of all the other matters relating to the subject. They also arrange the industrial visits regularly.
The placement situation is not good for B.Com students in our college. As only 15 to 20 percent of the students from the course get placed, with minimum salary of 2.5 lpa and maximum salary of 3.5 lpa packages.
The college infrastructure having a good and best thigs are provided recently they have build new building hostels for both girls and boys separately available and well maintained labs, all living space is good.
The teachers are very talented also a full of street then the quality of teaching is so good even small doubts also they clarify i think our college conducted any extra curricular activities like projects , certification course, sessions.
Coming to placements not too much good but some people's are selected in corporate sectors like start ups they offered only two to three lakhs per annum and the placement process is pleasant for me to attend interviews.
Beautiful and marvelous experience to me
No
All departments are provided with modern labs and updated tools. The college auditorium is used for seminars, fests, and cultural events. Hostels have study-friendly environments with necessary amenities. Drinking water and hygiene facilities are properly maintained. There are indoor and outdoor sports facilities, and a gym is also available for students. The atmosphere on campus is calm and perfect for focused studies and collaboration.
Teachers are helpful and available for doubt-clearing even after class hours. Students are encouraged to think critically and take part in coding contests, paper writing, and group projects. Academics here strike a good balance between theory and application. The internal assessments are frequent, ensuring students stay updated with their subjects throughout the semester.
Many students secure jobs through campus placements each year. Companies like Wipro, TCS, and other IT firms conduct regular drives. Some firms from the electronics and mechanical sectors also recruit. The college supports students by offering mock interviews, resume building, and pre-placement talks. Opportunities in public sector exams and off-campus drives are also shared by the placement cell.
Hostel food is better than most colleges, though there are a few bad days in terms of quality and taste as well. The college campus is clean and well planned, and the departments also have projectors and general lab equipment. Wi-Fi is available but not of normal speed, particularly in hostels.
The faculty experience varies from department to department. Whereas some of the instructors are highly cooperative, seasoned, and friendly, others lack hands-on exposure and do not keep the interest in the classes alive.
I was a bit disappointed with the placement scenario there, primarily the diversity of jobs and package sizes. Although some students are placed, the total opportunities aren't impressive. The highest recently offered package was ₹7 LPA and the lowest was ₹3 LPA. A few big companies such as Coforge, HCL, Mphasis, and Hexaware come to the campus, but with limited posts, mostly with basic IT support or service-based jobs.
Libraries are well equipped, Wi-Fi is available in reading rooms, and classrooms are functional, if not luxurious. Some buildings are old but suitable. Canteens are cheap, and campus life is happening, particularly during fests and cultural events.
The teachers in the majority of DU colleges are friendly and well-versed, particularly in the Arts stream. The professors are properly qualified, with most of them being PhD holders, and provide good guidance, particularly in theory-oriented courses like History, Political Science, Sociology, etc.
Being a BA student at DU, I would put it that there are no good placement drives for us. The placement cell takes care only of professional courses such as B.Com, BBA, or B.Sc., and even they are not in large numbers. For BA students, hardly any companies visit, and no organized placement drives take place.
The infrastructure is good and the faculty is also well experienced. The environment is very friendly. The library is also well equipped with books . The events are also well organised and give a lot of exposure
Studying in BA it is really good programmes the teachers are well experienced and the curriculum is also updated regularly with practical exposure also and the faculty is good in explaining each topic with relevant examples
Not valid for my course but other streams placements are good many companies come to conduct placement drives in the college and lot of students get placed with good jobs and packages. The placement cell also is good
Good environment and good peer group
As a Statistics Honours student at Maulana Azad College, the infrastructure experience is a pretty decent blend of vintage charm and modern upgrades. Yes, the main building is colonial and carries that “heritage” vibe — beautiful from the outside, but a little worn inside in some places. However, don’t let that fool you — the Science Block, where most of the Stats department classes and labs are held, is way more updated. There are air-conditioned classrooms and labs, which honestly makes a big difference during those humid Kolkata days. The computer lab is air-conditioned, and has systems equipped with essential software like R, SPSS, Python, and others used in practicals. The machines work fine for academic needs, though occasional technical hiccups can happen when everyone’s logged in. Classrooms are clean, fairly spacious, and decently maintained. Not all of them are smart classrooms, but some do have projectors and digital boards. Wi-Fi exists — usable, not blazing fast. The library is good, with a solid collection of statistics and mathematics books, though it's often crowded during exam time. Overall, the infrastructure is surprisingly good for a government college — not five-star, but definitely solid and improving every year.
like any college, not every teacher will vibe with every student. Some explain topics beautifully, while a few might assume you already understand everything. So staying curious and asking questions is kind of your best strategy here. The CU syllabus is theory-heavy, so expect a good amount of math and derivations. But the faculty here usually tries to balance theory with practical understanding, especially using software like R and SPSS during lab sessions. Internal exams, tutorials, and practicals are taken seriously. You’ll have to be consistent Student performance varies — but let’s be honest: it’s mostly self-driven. If you’re regular in class and actually study (even a little consistently), scoring well is very possible. Many students score good marks in CU exams and some even crack competitive exams like JAM, ISI MSQMS, or go on to do research or data science. Also, being surrounded by other serious students really helps. There’s a healthy academic environment, and peer support is solid — you’ll often find groups discussing problems after class or helping each other before exams.
When it comes to placements for Statistics Honours at Maulana Azad College, the scene is honestly limited — mainly because this is a government academic college, not a professional institute with a big placement cell. There isn't a dedicated placement drive for Stats Hons students like you'd find in engineering or business colleges. However, some companies (mostly from the analytics and data-related sectors) do occasionally visit for recruitment — usually for internships or entry-level roles in data entry, research assistance, or basic analytics. That said, most students don’t rely on placements from college. Instead, they either go for higher studies — like M.Sc. in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or even prepare for IIT JAM, ISI, or UPSC — or apply off-campus to private companies. A few students have landed jobs in startups and research organizations through personal applications or LinkedIn. If you’re focused on placements right after undergrad, you’ll have to be proactive — build your resume, learn tools like R, Python, Excel, SQL, and apply off-campus.In short: College won’t hand you a job, but it gives you the academic strength and skills to get one
The classrooms are smart-enabled with projectors, and there are modern systems in the labs. The canteen is clean and the food is pretty reasonably priced, hostel facilities are provided on-campus to MBA students as well which is a good thing.
The MBA syllabus is based on the AKTU model and thus some topics are somewhat outdated, particularly in those areas that are evolving very rapidly such as digital marketing or business analytics. Still, the teachers make an attempt to bridge the gap between industry and academia through workshops, guest lectures, and seminars.
Around 90% of the students from our batch got placed in Galgotia's MBA program. The maximum package that was offered was around ₹21 LPA, while the minimum package was around ₹3 LPA. Some of the key hiring companies were NoBroker, Delhivery, Navi Technologies, and PhonePe.
Yes college have all the necessary infrastructure facilities and have necessary equipment we have big classroom all course laboratories big libraries have sports academy Wi-Fi is available well maintenance
I am doing bba because I listen there is a big scope for bba students yes the curriculum is updated and includes all the recent development in the field yes I study makes me job ready I will suggest this college to every junior

It was a great experience throughout the college life span of 3 years. This college raises my standard for my upcoming future plans and has thoroughly helped me in shaping my personality. Besc in itself is a vibe which should never be missed.
Anyone who is good at academics should undoubtedly choose this college over any other in the city. Our college provides each and every opportunity to excell in studies as well as the co curricular activities which take place almost throughout the year.
One of the best Bcom/Bba college in Kolkata is The Bhawanipur edu. Society college. It's placement cell has so many contacts and students here can get jobs e en after simple graduation. I have been placed in one of the Big 4s with quite a good package, and this college provides its thorough help all through out
Campus Life is very cool in our college. We love to spend time at the knowledge adda, canteen, sports arena, turf. There are hell a lot of activities to enjoy which will be cherished always!
NA
The campus has a modern and students friendly layout with spacious classrooms and well ventilated lectures holes. All departments are occupied with essential slabs and updated tools for practical learning.
the academic structure is well maintained with a balance mix of theory and practical exposure doubt, faculty members are qualified, approachable, and capable with supportive often encouraging discussions and interactive learning.
the college offer descent placement opportunities with regular campus drives by both start-ups and reputed companies. Placement cell is active and supportive, helping student with resume building interview preparation.
campus life is vibrant and full of opportunities. From cultural fest to technical events, students stay actively involved throughout the year clubs for dance, music, drama, coding and entrepreneurship.
Airtel improvement in hostels food and faster grievance handling could make the experience even better
My college is situated is a good greenery environment in hilly area. All the necessary facilities are provided here like sports yoga classes , one small library is there from where students can issue there books
Teachers were average I have studied B.A. mostly guest teachers were nice they really explained everything but old teachers were rude they doesn't pay any attention to students they just give lectures however they like
Placement system is not there in this College maybe this is in rural areas and also in hilly areas that's the reason companies doesn't come to take interviews but college is also responsible for that they should focus on placement system more
