JIS College of Engineering, Nadia (JISCE), was established in 2001 and has grown to be the leader in the region located at Kalyani, Nadia, West Bengal. This autonomous institute is spread over 17.5 acres and is affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology; it is approved by AICTE. The Institute imparts 8 degrees with 28 courses and a total intake of 2,425. The faculty strength is 254, and the institute is accredited by NAAC. 

The male-to-female student ratio is well balanced, with 60 percent males and 40 percent females. JISCE provides an ideal environment for all-round development. The institution has a number of state-of-the-art facilities that make learning enriching. The library is well-stocked with a good collection of books and computerized facilities that turn it into a knowledge center for students. Modern laboratories in different departments provide hands-on work experience. In-campus facilities for boys and girls separately ensure comfortable accommodation in the institution's hostels for outstation students. 

It also takes care of students' health through its on-campus Health Centre, that also has first-aid facilities and tie-ups with local nursing homes for any emergency services that may be required. The institution has a gymnasium, sports facilities, and a Wi-Fi-enabled campus that would foster a healthy lifestyle. JISCE offers a range of courses with the mainstay on engineering and technology. The institute offers 21 regular programs, out of which there are 12 undergraduate and 09 are postgraduate courses. Some of the famous undergraduate programs are B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Information Technology. At the postgraduate level, there are M. Tech programs in various specializations and an MBA program. Across all courses, the total enrollment of students is 2,425, wherein B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering has the highest enrollment of 180 seats.

The admission process in JISCE is majorly entrance-based. For the B.Tech course, admission takes place through WBJEE, JEE Main, and CEE-AMPAI-WB. Its M.Tech course accepts GATE scores, while its MBA course accepts MAT/WB-JEMAT. The counseling is done centrally by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board, which JISCE participates in. The academic calendar is on par with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology; admission usually starts during July-August months.

JISCE has several scholarship opportunities in place for meritorious and economically challenged students. In the academic year 2022, out of a total of 2,797 undergraduate students, 697 were aided, and out of a total of 91 postgraduate students, 28 were aided—this is very many, which goes on to prove the commitment of the institute toward the availing of quality education.

More importantly, the college has created a large alumni base of whom most of them are very successful in various fields.
