Life on the campus is simple. There are events like cultural programs, sports matches, and technical gatherings. Students take part with interest, though the variety of activities is limited compared to big institutes.

There are labs in every semester. The lab facility is very good. There are plenty of machines for studying. There are separate libraries for every department in the college. The hostel rooms and bathrooms are clean; however, the hostel food is very bad. Plenty of sports activities are available for both boys and girls

Teachers are very helpful and supportive in academics. They have proper knowledge about what they are teaching. The syllabus is outdated. They need to teach new technologies and innovative things. Semester exams are very tough and hard to pass.
Placements
They are placed according to their preference. Some chose for higher studies, and some went abroad for jobs. Everyone can apply for placement and are selected according to their performance in the interview. Main companies are Yamaha, Royal Enfield, Eicher. Everyone can participate in internships from the college. The college itself provides internship facilities inside the college.

Recently new meta building is built. So its more spacious now. Library, classrooms, and labs are of course on top notch. The labs and lab assistant teachers are also good. Real issue is with Wi-Fi. In most of campus area, there are a lot of network as well as Wi-Fi issues. About hostel, its not less than home. Mess food is a little messed up. But its better than other colleges' mess. There are two canteens in the college. The meta canteen is good. But both canteens are a bit suffocating.
Academics
Teachers are good. But the distribution of teachers is not good. In my case mechanical branch got most perfect teachers compared to us for the same subject. And for us we have teachers who don't teach that well and also who don't give proper marks in exams too. So, it badly affects our overall CGPA. Exams a good and strict too. About curriculum, we have a lot of clubs around 50, and gathering, impression, mindspark, etc. Some clubs are really good for career growth like robotics, aerospace, etc.
Placements
Almost 77% of students in metallurgy branch got placed last year. The highest package is around 25 LPA and the average salary is 8 LPA. Core industries like steel companies, mining, etc., are strongly approaching metallurgy students. Some students have chosen non-core roles too and some went for higher studies.

Shyam Lal College, which is part of Delhi University, has been a good learning experience for me so far. Being a DU college, the academic structure is already well-defined, but the overall journey depends a lot on how actively you participate in classes, societies, and events. The B.Com program at Shyam Lal College follows Delhi University's well-structured curriculum. Core subjects like Financial Accounting, Business Studies, Economics, and Corporate Laws are taught in detail. The faculty ensures that the fundamentals are clear, which helps not only for semester exams but also for competitive exams like CA, CS, and MBA entrances. Regular internal assessments, projects, and presentations keep the academic environment active. However, the syllabus is mostly theory-based, so students who want more practical exposure might feel the need to join external workshops or internships.
Placements
Placements are moderate. The placement cell tries to bring companies on campus, but opportunities are more in sales, marketing, BPOs, and entry-level roles. Average packages are around modest levels, and very few top corporates visit compared to DU's premium colleges. For students aiming for high-paying jobs, pursuing higher studies like MBA, M.Com, or professional courses (CA, CFA, CS) is advisable. On the positive side, the placement cell also connects students with internships, which helps in building practical experience.
Campus Life
Campus life at Shyam Lal is as vibrant as you make it. There are several active societies debating, dramatics, dance, music, and commerce clubs which organize cultural fests, competitions, and events throughout the year. The annual fest is the highlight, with good participation. If you join societies, you'll enjoy an engaging and fun-filled college life. Otherwise, campus can feel a little monotonous. Good Placements are key thing in my college. The average package is ₹6–7 LPA, with top offers going above ₹40 LPA. Software and IT companies hire the largest number of students, but there are also good opportunities in core companies for non-IT branches. Big recruiters include Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Bosch, and Accenture. Students also get exposure to startups and international companies.

Ramjas College located in Delhi university North Campus .the campus is lush green and a great vibe like most of the north campus college of delhi.Most classes are well ventilited few of them have a projector .ACs are only in labs,library ,conference hall etc .for this academic year hostel facilities are not available as they are under renovations .library having almost every books , sport complex and gym is also available.Canteen is also there ,provides food and snacks a reasonable cost.

So I am currently pursuing Bsc Mathematics hons from ramjas college as mathematics is my interest.The quality of teaching is good .some professors are very nice and supportive.The curriculum is according to the NEP. People having great edge in mathematics and having some relevent skill can easily get a good job.

The quality of placement in ramjas is good .Dont know the exact placement percentage ,but any student willing to get job will get jobs .The highest salary of mathematics hons is about 24 lpa.The average salary is somewhere about 5 to 6 lpa.The college have placement cell that help students in placements

Ramjas college is one of the most vibrant and the oldest college of DU .It is also the hub of politics in north campus.The alumni network of this college is also very good.Their are several socities almost covering every possible domain and interests.The diversity of the student is also very good student coming from the various part of india share their culture and heritage .their are also many good restaurants outside the campus, you can easily find any type of foods there.
Overall all leaning experience is nice. It's not a bad deal.

I ' m pursuing a B. Com at Raja Balwant singh college. Faculty is helpful, and teaching quality is good. The course fees is very affordable, making it one cheapest options. There teachers are well experienced and also there well managed semester schedule.

Actually there is no placement in bcom but here many course have placement facility. Very few student get placed, and the package are also low. College really needs to work hard on bringing better companies and other opportunity for students.

There are a lot of companies that come to our college every year for placement drives like TCS, Infosys, HCL, Deloitte, Tata, and Byju's. The average package ranges from 4 LPA to 6 LPA. About 60-70% of the students get campus placement with an average salary.

VIT Vellore is main campus of VIT University .The infrastructure of academic building , Hostel is awesome.Campus is very clean and specially boys hostel side more greenery.All Department have separate building and lab with all instruments. Boys and girls hostel have separate swimming pool.Wifi is little bit slow in hostel area due to large number of user.

As compare to IIT,NIT core company placement be less and also package is not high but overall you get placed (means approx 100% placement) in any company after completion of degree.If your CGPA and concept is good then you get core company like Tata Motors ,Mahindra etc . On average package of mechanical student in core branch be 5-9 lpa.Highest package goes to CS branch which is approx 32 lpa in 2018 but now cross 1 crore.Placement process is medium level as stage by stage and college supportive in that.

In campus all facilities is available bank, ATM, food plaza . Also inside hostel night canteen is available.But one of the worst features is strictness girls not allowed to go outside of campus after 8 pm also boys 9 pm not able to go out of hostel.Students involves in various activity like club , annual fest, Rivera etc.Every staff is cooperative but very strict. They have own security committee .Management able to handle any emergencies immediately.

Overall college is very nice if you are selected in category 1. Infrastructure ,academic is good . But little issues as the campus crowd is going very high and lot of students coming to rich background so campus lifestyle is costly.If you don't get IIT then surely go to VIT.No doubt VIT is one of the best college in India.
