Teachers are very helpful and they teach like no one else. Their knowledge of the subject is tremendous and we are shocked by the methodology they are using for teaching us. As is usually seen in top-regular semester exams, which are sometimes difficult to even pass but teachers help in that matter.

So Placement basically depends on the cadet as the college do its best to get companies then it totally depends on us how we perform in interview. As of now out of 30 students in my batch 8 cadets got placed and more would be placed by the end of the course.

Campus life at HIMT is vibrant and full of activities. The day begins with the morning PT around 0530hrs followed by routine clean ship, breakfast, flag hoisting, parade and classes from 0800hrs till 1545hrs then in evening cadets are involved in sports and gym activities dinner is served from 1815hrs to 2000hrs according to respective batches. Shore leaves are permitted on Sundays from 0630hrs to 1700hrs which can we utilized to visit nearby places as Mahabalipuram is close by. We also have a hospital nearby and a duty doctor visit the college daily for 2 hrs.

College campus is huge but advanced technology is only for faculty members not students. There are lot of activities like - aura, annual fest, sports day, fresher & farewell paries, NCC/NSS/SGA training, which makes students engaged apart from only studying. The teachers and support staff is helpful but students are only girls so sometimes makes your college life too boring because co-ed life was best than an all girls college. It's location is connected to metro and all necessary shops, malls, travel is available near to my college.

Overall is good but there are only 2-3 classes per day and when they are over you are required to stay back in college till 12 noon which makes it time waste for few students who can reach home on time and do self study.

Infrastructure is superb and mind-blowing due to the surroundings, greenery, and the towering buildings, which give a wonderful vibe. The quality of food in the canteen is delicious and reasonably priced.Sports and games are quite common in every college here as well.

Teachers are well-qualified and have more than enough knowledge in their field. They have even patented drug molecules and are also members of PCI as PCI inspectors. They have done their higher education at the central universities.

About 60% or above 60% of the students can get placed from our course. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 20,000 per month, while the highest salary offered is Rs. 35,000 per month. About 60% or above 60% of the students do internship in the company or hotel based on their choice.

My college provides a library, bus facility and canteen too. The hostel infrastructure was good but the food was not good at all. My opinion is to stay in the college hostel during the first year and then change to outside rooms in the nearby locality, where the room rent will also be very low.

In our college, labs are good, but not very good. Coming to the college hostel, the food is worse; I recommend you not to join the college hostel. The food in the canteen is somewhat better than the rest of all, and sports are held randomly. They will not provide any Wi-Fi to us, and the signals are very good.

When you are good with faculty, they will manage all things well. However, some faculty behavior is worse. Regarding exams, if you haven't cleared your fees, they won't allow you to write exams, which is unfortunate. Right now, two colleges, RIT and REC, are merged, so the papers are somewhat difficult.

Right now, due to recession, colleges are facing problems in placement, so it is hard for every student. Coming to our college, the placement percentage is average, with the average package around 3 LPA and the highest being 12 LPA. Recently, some good opportunities have arisen. Mnc Companies are also giving opportunity.
