College Infrastructure
As for freshmen boys, they will allocate the hostel Mandakini, and for freshmen girls, which is the best hostel on the entire campus, has wonderful infrastructure. There are many department classrooms. But as for the first year, we'll be having new teaching classrooms, which is also very good. There are many labs for each and every department. There are many grounds for every sport and game. In fact, we'll be having indoor shuttle courts in the hostels. The food covers every menu, based on our food habits in the north and south, vegetarian and non-vegetarian. And we have an institute hospital nearby where they'll do a checkup at no cost.
Academics
As I'm in the first year, all the students have the same course, but from 2nd year onwards, branch-wise courses begin. The end semester exams are difficult compared to the mid semesters. The students can get in the college if they study. My hostel Life give me best memories and friends.
Placements
As per last year, it was 1.31 CPA, the highest package in some research fields, and the average package is around 15 LPA. Key recruiters include many major companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google and Deloitte. Actually, there was a 19% increase last year in the number of students who got internships. The recruiting companies are Texas Instruments, JP Morgan Chase, Adobe, and Procter & Gamble.

The facilities and infrastructure are good for my course. The course structure for every semester is good. My course is very much related to so in the first semester, there are basic Biology courses which help the students to get interested in the core fields. The old hostels of IIT Roorkee are so bad. And the mess food quality and taste are not good.

The faculty consists of two teachers: one permanent and one guest faculty. Both are quite qualified and have a great command of their subjects. They are also very helpful and kind towards students. The course I completed really helped me understand the commercial world, including topics like the economy, inflation, and recession. The course is divided into semesters, with internal tests held every month, which really helps students boost their preparation. To pass and get promoted, students need to score at least 32%.
Placements
The placement is what is the college focused on for placement companies like Amazon, Cisco, Mahindra, and others offering an average package of 15 Lacs per annum. For internships, the highest package offered was for around 75000, and also companies do give PPO.

Average teaching quality was very nice and some professors connected really well with us and conveyed concepts but we have some not-so-good professors too who aren't interested in average students and focused only on tips, which is not quite a good strategy. The course curriculum for my branch could be made more structured and flexible. Semester exams are difficult; it depends on the professor taking the course but overall, if you have prepared for the whole semester, it's easy and if you only do them two days before exams, it's going to be tough.
Placements
80 percent of students were placed in my batch. The highest package offered was around 35 LPA, and the lowest was 9 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Larsen & Toubro and Tata. About 25% of students secured internships in both tech and core sectors. In the tech sector, most students were placed in companies like Google and JP Morgan. In the core sector, students were placed in Larsen & Toubro.

When it comes to placements, Chandigarh University is doing an amazing job. Many students start getting internships and placements by the end of their second semester, which is really impressive. Most companies offer internships with the possibility of PTO (Pre-Placement Offers), giving students a great head start in their careers. I wish such opportunities were more widely available, but it’s fantastic that CU offers this.

VIT is the best place for good opportunities that enhance practical exposure and help in placements. Up to 76% of students are placed in big tech companies. The highest package is 26 Lacs, and the lowest package is 13 Lacs. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Microsoft, and IBM.

College campus is huge but advanced technology is only for faculty members not students. There are lot of activities like - aura, annual fest, sports day, fresher & farewell paries, NCC/NSS/SGA training, which makes students engaged apart from only studying. The teachers and support staff is helpful but students are only girls so sometimes makes your college life too boring because co-ed life was best than an all girls college. It's location is connected to metro and all necessary shops, malls, travel is available near to my college.

Overall is good but there are only 2-3 classes per day and when they are over you are required to stay back in college till 12 noon which makes it time waste for few students who can reach home on time and do self study.

So Placement basically depends on the cadet as the college do its best to get companies then it totally depends on us how we perform in interview. As of now out of 30 students in my batch 8 cadets got placed and more would be placed by the end of the course.

Campus life at HIMT is vibrant and full of activities. The day begins with the morning PT around 0530hrs followed by routine clean ship, breakfast, flag hoisting, parade and classes from 0800hrs till 1545hrs then in evening cadets are involved in sports and gym activities dinner is served from 1815hrs to 2000hrs according to respective batches. Shore leaves are permitted on Sundays from 0630hrs to 1700hrs which can we utilized to visit nearby places as Mahabalipuram is close by. We also have a hospital nearby and a duty doctor visit the college daily for 2 hrs.
