48 MonthsBachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Nursing is a four-year full-time program that is the undergraduate level in the nursing course offered by Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai and approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC).
Eligibility Criteria
- Should have completed the age of 17 years and not exceeded 30 years at the time of admission. Candidate should complete the said age on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the first year Nursing course. Married and widowed girls can also take up the opportunity.
- Should have passed the qualifying examination after a period of 12 years of study in the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Botany and Zoology.
- Candidates should have passed all the subjects of the qualifying examination of the Higher Secondary Course conducted by the Tamil Nadu State Board or any other Equivalent Board in a single sitting in the following group of subjects with minimum eligible marks. (i) Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. (or) (ii) Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics with any other subject.
- A failure in examination/ reappearance/ first appearance in a compartment in one or more subjects will be treated as an attempt and they will not be eligible.
- For OC / BC / BCM / MBC / DNC Candidates: Pass in Higher Secondary Course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology with not less than 45% aggregate marks.
- For SC / SCA / ST Candidates: Pass in Higher Secondary Course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology with not less than 40 % aggregate marks.
- A candidate before admission shall submit a medical fitness certificate from an authorized medical officer that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the academic course and does not suffer from any disability or contagious disease.
