Sarvodaya Mahavidyalaya, Shahpur Admission Process

Sarvodaya Mahavidyalaya, is located in the Ambedkar Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The college provides various undergraduate courses based on the merit system so that candidates with rightful claims can pursue any desired field.

Admission is mostly granted based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Admission may also be given if there are entrance examinations for some programmes. The admission process of the college is as per the guidelines of the Uttar Pradesh State Government, which may have additional modalities for selection.

On the other hand, for the D.El.Ed programme, admissions are done purely on a merit basis. The selection can either be based on the marks in the qualifying examination, through the performance in the entrance examination, or on a combination of both as per the state government policy in force. The college offers three full-time courses - D.El.Ed program, BA, and B.Sc - with an intake of 100 seats in the D.El.Ed program.

Application Process

1. Interested candidates are advised to contact the admission office to know about the latest application forms and deadlines.

2. Applicants will have to fill the application form with their personal and academic details.

3. Submit the completed application form along with documents as under:

  • Mark sheets of qualifying examinations

  • Proof of date of birth

  • Category certificate (if applicable)

  • Any other relevant certificate mentioned

4. If needed by the state government for D.El.Ed, the entrance exam could be conducted for applicants.

5. Applications shall be evaluated on merit regarding marks secured in the qualifying exam and/or the entrance exam.

6. Counseling or interviews could be followed by shortlisted candidates.

7. Selected candidates will have to complete the admission formalities within the notified time period from verification of documents to payment of fees.

Degree-wise Admission Process

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
The D.El.Ed program is a two-year course aimed at preparing future educators to teach at the elementary level. The admissions in this program are conducted purely on the basis of merit. The merit in selection can be either based on the marks attained in the qualifying examination, performance in the entrance examination, or even a combination of both, depending on the prevailing state government policy. The sanctioned intake for this course is 100 seats.

BA (Bachelor of Arts):
The three-year program provides sound training in various arts subjects. Admissions are expected to be on the general merit basis of the college. 

B.Sc (Bachelor of Science):
A three-year program providing a broad-based foundation in the sciences. Admissions are anticipated to be based on the general merit system of the college.
