A four-year BA (Hons.) in Diplomacy and Foreign Policy offers a globally comparable program that provides students with a thorough conceptual understanding and empirical foundation in International Relations, geopolitics, and the multilateral world order. Amid wars, bilateral and multilateral alliances, and evolving relationships between various states and regional blocs, this program equips students to interpret emerging international dynamics and geopolitics. The course aims to explore the politics behind states' positions in the global order and how these countries participate in international negotiations. As the field of International Relations rapidly evolves amid a shifting world order, with dynamic geopolitics, strategic interdependence, and political shifts worldwide, this course develops an intellectual basis for understanding the complexities of foreign relations today. It offers an empirically grounded view of global realpolitik.

This integrated program emphasises trans - disciplinarity by drawing on multiple fields such as Political Science, International Relations, climate studies, international law, and global governance. This comprehensive approach aims to teach students about the complexities of diplomacy and foreign policy. They will explore a wide range of topics, engaging with both historical and contemporary developments in India’s foreign policy, strategic culture, norms, regional security, diplomacy, international political economy, and international organisations.
