The college offers 3 specialisations in B.Sc., namely, B.Sc Physics-Chemistry-Mathematics, B.Sc Botany, B.Sc Agriculture and B.Sc Zoology. Admission is on the basis of merit, taking into account the performance of the candidate in 10+2 science stream.

There are two types of B.Com., viz. regular B.Com. and B.Com. with Computer. Admission is through marks obtained in the 10+2 examination, with preference being given to commerce stream students.

Academics
Academics at BSM PG College, Roorkee are average. The syllabus is covered on time, but the teaching quality depends a lot on the faculty—some teachers are supportive, while others are more focused on completing the course. There is not much focus on practical learning or industry exposure, so students need to put in extra effort on their own to build skills. Overall, it’s fine for basic academic understanding but not exceptional.
College Infra
I completed my graduation from BSM PG College, Roorkee, and my experience was average overall. The college is decent if your main focus is just completing your degree, but don’t expect a very modern or highly competitive environment.
The faculty is okay—some teachers are supportive and helpful, while others are more focused on just finishing the syllabus. Infrastructure is basic, not very advanced, but manageable for day-to-day classes. The library is useful, but resources can feel limited at times.
There are limited extracurricular activities and exposure, so students often need to put in their own efforts if they want to grow beyond academics. Campus life is simple and not very happening.
That said, the college is affordable and works fine for students who are self-motivated and willing to build their skills on their own.
