Sengamala Thayaar Educational Trust Women's College, Thiruvarur was established by Sengamala Thayaar Educational Trust in the year 1994 in order to provide education to girls. The institute is also known as STET Women’s College. The institution is named after Sri Sengamala Thayaar, the Divine Consort of Sri Rajagopalaswamy. STET Women's College is affiliated to Bharathidasan University. The college is recognised by the University Grants Commission and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi.
