Sevayatan Sikshan Mahavidyalaya, Paschim Medinipur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has boys’ hostels nestled in bush green; eco-friendly surroundings with open playgrounds. The hostels are being protected through a boundary wall surrounding the hostel's blocks. The whole hostel blocks are lighted at night with sufficient solar lights. During power failure, the boarders can use solar light in their rooms. The guest rooms for visiting parents of students are also available. All in all, the hostel life on the campus is one of the most enviable among the student community, providing the students with a conducive atmosphere for learning. 

The college has girls hailing from distant places with a 150-bed capacity. The students accommodated in the Hostel should be under the strict supervision of a Superintendent.  

The college has textbooks on "Education" and other disciplines available in the library, as well as reference books (various dictionaries, encyclopedias on various topics, atlases, etc.), general books, and non-book materials. Numerous journals on education (mostly), science, and the arts are available through the library's subscriptions. Back issues of journals, magazines, career-guide books, and employment-related news bulletins are also included in the collection. Additionally, to the borrowing option, the library offers reading room amenities for students and faculties. 

The college has a Psychology Laboratory housed on the first floor of the college covering an area of 400 sq ft. The laboratory contains a large number of instruments and psychological tests. The faculty and trainees have extensively made use of these. The experiments in the area of Perception and Sensation, Motivation, Memory, and Learning are conducted by the students. The tests that are frequently pursued are in the area of Aptitude, Interest, Intelligence, Attitude, and Personality. At least 20 (twenty) students can work in the laboratory at a time.

The college has an Educational Technology Laboratory also which is housed on the first floor of the college. The covered area of the laboratory is 400 sq ft. The laboratory is well-equipped with so many instruments to facilitate the teaching and learning of the students. Instruments like Over-Head Projector, Epidiascope, Television, Slide projector, Camera, Radio, Tape Recorder, etc. are used not only for helping students in their learning but also to train them how to use those technological instruments in a classroom situation. In this laboratory, students can also make use of a computer with an internet connection.

The College, there is an opulent auditorium with room for 300 people. Incandescent lights, good acoustics, audio-visual aids like microphones, audio-video recording, video playback, slide projectors, cue light systems, audio-video feeds for camera crews, fixed talkback facility, additional talkback, headsets, video tripod, etc. are all included in the centrally air-conditioned space. It is also outfitted with central air conditioning. These facilities can be used for a variety of purposes, including meetings between students and professors, convocations, presentations, short-term training courses, workshops, conferences, guest lectures, and cultural events. The seminar room is large, well-ventilated, and equipped. Additionally, it provides equipment for giving lectures, such as LCD and OHP projectors, screens, and whiteboards. 

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The College has a Fitness Centre where multigym facilities are available. There is also an adequate number of Commercial Treadmills, Cycles, and other equipment for physical exercises.

The college has playgrounds for Football, Volley, Cricket, and Kho-Kho. The college has an adequate number of games and sports equipment. Participation in sports activities is mandatory for all students.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

   The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college has campus a WI-FI Campus supported by Broadband and Reliance Jio and Networking with Local Area Network (LAN) with connectivity.
