Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, or commonly known as SBSC was established in 1967. The college is affiliated to the University of Delhi. NAAC has accredited the institute with an ‘A’ grade. The college offers courses at the UG and PG level. A total of 17 courses are offered here. Admissions to UG and PG courses at this college are offered on the basis of CUET and DUET, respectively. The institute also offers multiple medals, awards and scholarships to its students in an attempt to recognise meritorious performances of the students. SBSC Courses

The college offers a total of 17 programmes. These courses are offered across streams like arts, commerce, and science at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Shaheed Bhagat Singh College courses are offered in regular mode. B.Com, B.A. and B.Com (Hons) are some of the UG courses provided by the college. The institute only offers one PG course - M.Com. The duration of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College UG courses is three years and the duration of the SBSC PG course is 2 years. Students must meet the eligibility criteria for the course of their choice.

SBSC Admissions

The institute gives admission to UG and PG courses. For UG course admission, candidates must apply and appear for CUET. On the other hand, SBSC admission to PG courses is done based on the DUET score. As per Shaheed Bhagat Singh College admission criteria, it is mandatory for students to apply at the University of Delhi admission portal. After the entrance exam, the university releases a list of cut-offs in multiple rounds. Candidates who meet the cut-off are eligible for the round of counselling. After the counselling, the college releases a list of finally selected students.

SBSC Cut-Off

The cutoff for UG courses and the cutoff for PG courses is released by the University of Delhi in multiple rounds. In order to take admission in the courses provided by the college, it is mandatory for candidates to meet the Shaheed Bhagat Singh College cut off requirements. CUET cut-off should be met for UG admissions and DUET cut-off should be met for PG admissions. The number of students appearing for the exam, difficulty level, and others are the factors determining the cut-off for a particular year.

SBSC Scholarships

The college offers a wide range of scholarships to students. Scholarships are provided to students with excellent academic performance and students who belong to financially weaker sections of society. Only B.Com and M.Com students are eligible for the Shaheed Bhagat Singh College scholarship (academic-based). As per Shaheed Bhagat Singh College scholarship policy, students who are eligible for the scholarship are provided with a scholarship amount (Rs. 3000). SBSC Delhi also provides gold and silver medals to the topper students of the college.

The college has a dedicated placement cell to ensure that the placement drives are conducted smoothly and a maximum number of job opportunities are offered to students. Shaheed Bhagat Singh College placement cell conducts various placement activities like guest lectures by corporate professionals, seminars, workshops, and others. to boost students' confidence. The cell ensures that the students are fully groomed before they appear for the final round of interviews. Companies like Deloitte USI, EY India, Tresvista, KPMG, and others visit the campus to conduct the recruitment drive.

With a distance of 10.5 km, Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station is closest to the institute. Chirag Delhi Metro Station on the magenta line is the closest metro station to Shaheed Bhagat Singh College. It is just 1.1 km away from the college. The institute is 3.4 away from the Ambedkar Nagar Bus Depot.
