    Shahul Hameed Memorial Engineering College (SHMEC) was set up during the year 2002 in Kadakkal, Kollam, Kerala. This affiliated college, which is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), is spread over 25 acres and provides various engineering streams. It has enrolled a total of 151 students and has a faculty of 75 and thus offers an effective environment for quality technical education.     SHMEC is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram.
