Shiva Institute of Engineering and Technology (SIET) Bilaspur was inaugurated in the year 2009. Shiva Institute of Engineering and Technology is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Shiva Institute of Engineering and Technology provides various programmes in engineering with various specialties.
SIET Bilaspur offers a total of 14 courses comprising full-time B.Tech programmes as well as Diploma courses in basically all branches of engineering. The offered B.Tech programmes are of four years duration and the Diploma programmes are of three years duration. Shiva Institute of Engineering and Technology Bilaspur is affiliated with Himachal Pradesh Technical University Hamirpur. The diploma admission is based on merit and for Btech admission, SIET Bilaspur accepts scores from two popular entrance exams: JEE Main and HPCET.
Shiva Institute of Engineering and Technology has numerous facilities to support students’ learning and holistic development. SIET Bilaspur includes well-equipped laboratories, a full stocked library with over 2000 titles, classrooms, wi-fi facilities so that the learning process can take place anytime and anywhere. From the point of view of physical health, the institute has a gym that accommodates all types and equipment required for fitness exercises as well as courts for Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton and Tennis. The institute also possesses its own hostel facilities for both boys and girls with other facilities like solar based water heaters and internet connections.
