B.Sc. agriculture course is similar for most colleges in India (except that of integrated courses) and placement is generally limited. The only good and high paying jobs are that of civil/engineering services job in agriculture ministry or as professor/researcher on agricultural science. Hence college may not have much importance. Most of the colleges take admission in second year as lateral entry program and it has it's own criterias like if you want a seat in a particular branch in new college then your score should be greater than the cutoff score of the last counselling score for the previous year alongwith it some colleges also require some minimum cgpa or percentage in 1 and 2 semester.
