Shivkumari Mahila Mahavidyalaya is an affiliated college which came into existence in the year 2017 in the Lohati Saraiya, Rudauli of Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh. This is still young institution which is recognised by National council for Teacher Education (NCTE) which ensures that quality education is being delivered in the field of teaching. Spread over an area of 1.29 acres, the college has an aggregate strength of 588 students and a teaching staff of 10 members at the moment. 

Shivkumari Mahila Mahavidyalaya include the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme which intends to produce qualified educators. This college has a number of amenities that is used to support the learning process of its learners. The facility provided for the use of users includes a library with a reading room that provides both Hindi and English daily newspapers, weeklies, monthlies, and even quarterly magazines and journals on literature, politics and economics and the like. The purpose of this resource is to help expand students’ base of knowledge, and to help them stay informed. Talking about physical development, there are many sporting amenities available at the college. The campus facilities include grounds for more than one sports such as cricket, football, hockey, volleyball and athletic –badminton. These sporting activities are facilitated by qualified professors who also provide an over- all coordination in terms of a development approach. Also, the college has developed good IT facilities because the college realises that technology is part and parcel of modern learning institutions. 

Shivkumari Mahila Mahavidyalaya at present has only 2 courses which is Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and BA . It takes two years to complete and is aimed at training teachers to teach full-time as they are policy and practice compliant. This close correlation implies that the B.Ed programme is most probably favouring a large enrolment, thus providing prospective teachers a high yearnings each year. 

Being an NCTE approved college, it could be expected that the admission process for the teacher education programme being followed in the college will be in conformity with the norms being followed in other parts of the country.
