Established in 1978, the Sholapur Social Association's Arts and Commerce College has become one of the superior educational organisations located in Solapur, Maharashtra. Affiliated to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and accredited, it provides various arts and commerce programmes to its diverse range of students. The college has a regular enrolment of 835 students on a very small 2-acre campus. The college has an academic faculty of 14 highly experienced faculty members. The undergraduate student body that the college comprises has a gender distribution of 62% male and 38% female students. The college offers four different courses in its curricula with specialisations on both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Four full-time courses are made available from this college alone. Those comprise three main undergraduate courses and one postgraduate course. The courses are BA, B.Com, MA Urdu, and Ph.D. Urdu. The duration for the undergraduate programmes is three years, and the postgraduate course is a duration of two years. Further, a Ph.D. in Urdu is also offered within the college premises to show its inclination towards higher education and research.
